We visited Paris a weekend from 30.may – 2.June 2019, and chose La Trente as our hotel based on good reviews on hotels.com. The hotel is OK, clean with decent sized rooms (which normally is VERY small in Paris) and a pull out sofa for our daughter. It’s a quiet area and no traffic past the hotel. It was a couple of things: the lack of a plug in the sink, the toilet brush almost fell off the wall, the curtains almost fell off the wall and the temperature in the shower was impossible to hold at a steady temperature: either too hot or too cold… So three stars, don’t think so! But the worst experience, was the last night in Paris when my 7-year old daughter got sick and woke up in the middle of the night after vomiting in the pull-out-sofa in our room. I put her in the shower, collected the sheets together on the mattress and went down to the man in the reception, but he refused to help us. He just gave us some clean towels and sheets. I asked where we could carry the dirty laundry, so we didn’t have to sleep in the awful smell all night. I asked for a laundry room, but he kept staring into his computer shaking his head: “No laundry room, not my problem. You wait until the maids are back tomorrow morning. If your daughter is sick, it is your problem. I cannot help you, I get sick when I see womit”. You know what: I also get sick if I have to smell womit all night..! I didn’t ask him to help us to remove the linens, but asked where I could carry it. I told him that we couldn’t sleep in this room if we couldn’t get rid of the dirty sheets, but he just shook his head and said “Not my problem, this is your problem. You wash it yourself!”, still staring into his computer. Wash it with WHAT?? I asked him. You wont tell me where the laundry room is! I asked if we could sleep in another room, but he told me the hotel is full. He was SO arrogant and unhelpful; he should NEVER have worked in a hotel!! I said to him: “You won’t tell me where the laundry room is, and we cannot sleep in our room with the dirty linens: shall I leave everything out in the hallway??” “NO!”, he responded, “If you do that, you must pay!”. I asked him what we should do, with a bed we can’t sleep in, a room with bad smell and a sick daughter. “Not my problem”, he responded, still staring into his computer. I never yell at people, usually am a calm person and are rarely angry at anyone: I got SO angry with him and found myself yelling at him that he just had to fix this right away. I asked to talk to the manager, but that was not possible. Suddenly the hotel wasn’t full after all, and he found a room we could sleep in. I guess it would be much smarter for the hotel to let us remove the dirty linens right away, now we had to leave it soaking down into the mattress throughout the night, and I feel sorry for the room maids that had to remove this the day after, when we wanted to fix this ourselves… I have never in my ENTIRE life experienced worse service and a more arrogant man than this guy at the reception desk! He showed NO empathy at all, just kept staring into his computer saying “Not my problem”. We are very sorry that our daughter “chose” to get sick at your hotel, but you know what: bad things can happen when you...
Read moreNOT WORTH THE MONEY OR THE HASSLE!!!!!! Hotel room was very small, bathroom was also small and had a weird odor. Our AC didn’t work when we got to the room about 10:30-10:45ish we informed the front desk about it. They told us to give it about 20 min. We waited 30 min. We informed the front desk again. It was so hot in the room we had to sit in the hotel reading room to stay cool. About 2:00 am they finally put us in a new room, they gave us a room with one full bed in it. Our group was three people though so my mom and I sleep in the bed and my brother had to sleep in the room with no AC. So the next day they told us it would be fixed so we get back around 10:45 pm and they told us at the front desk they got it working. We get to the room and it’s blowing air but nothing cold enough to keep the room cool. They called up to our room to check on us and we told them it wasn’t cold. So the manager or whatever he was came up to check it out and put his hand in front of the AC and said it works and tried saying goodnight and leaving. My mom told him she was not happy. His reply was we gave you a room last night with ac and he walked out...
Read moreWhen our group arrived in the hotel we were guested of very unpleasant man in the reseption. Were sent important documents from our collegues of our French office and this "polite" man lied that there were no documents for us. And that is not all. Our "double" rooms were with one cup for coffe, one soup and I and my roomy had to sleep in one bed with one blanket!!! And that is not all too. Our manager had to pay our and one another room TWICE!!! Because the reservation was cancelled. But we paid it by bank 3 months earlier and have dicuments for this. The man of reseption was the same "polite," man of the day of our arriving. He laughed at us, told us to shut up and when our manager paid again the rooms, he called the police!!! On the next morning his behaviour was the same. When I check out he with laughing asked me am I fine. And his behaviour totally changed when I answered him in French. And he was was very kind with the French client. May be in this hotel have to be French if you want to have normal stay?! By the the way I and my group are EU citizens - from Bulgaria and work for great French...
