We tried the chef’s tasting menu with wine pairing. Overall, there were hits and misses. It lacked consistency throughout the 6 course meal. We started our meal with a mackerel ceviche “amuse bouche” — light and balanced, paired with a good sourdough to soak up all the broth. It set the expectations high for the rest of our meal.
The grilled scallop and fish dishes were very well done. The foie gras was alright, overall too oily for me as it was sitting in a puddle of oil but olives and capers were an intriguing pairing. Special mention to the cordon bleu that was well-crisped and went very well with the mustard. The grilled endives were too bitter for our taste though.
Finally, I wished the desserts were a little more thoughtful and refined instead of serving waffles with a watery puddle of chocolate mousse and vanilla ice cream that lacked texture. Thankfully it was not overly sweeten so we ended our meal on a pretty decent note.
It’s worthy to note that their vegetarian substitutions were not really up to standard. In place of the cordon bleu, a cold lentil salad was served. They swapped out a beautiful piece of scallop for a leaf of kale (seriously?!).
That said, service was pretty good, and the wine pairing was very value for money. Might return to try à la carte in the future if I’m...
Read moreWell i really dont wanna be mean because the staff were so nice and friendly with us, making us feel good, being attentive, but the restaurant makes you feel like a joke after eating in here.
The menus cost around 36 euros (starter, main, dessert) but the option is so limited (no choice at all), so when not liking it you have to pay at least 40 or 45 euros for a starter and a main. All besides a "cheap" bottle of bordeaux wine for 32 euros.
For this price we expected at least to eat VERY GOOD, which was not the case. The starter was a little piece of pate with a tiny slice of foiegras with micro veggies beside. But then when the main arrives and you notice that the super lamb is just a two small slices of tasteless meat with a good cheese pure together, then you realize that you been ripped off. No sauce, or anything I would outstand excepted the PURE that was good.
To end it all up, a very normal dessert that i didnt even finish.
Nor quantity or quality were as we expected, and paid something between 45 and 50 euros each, dont know if in Paris u need to spend a paycheck to eat properly when talking about French food or what.
Sorry but didnt...

Good Food and Wine, but Some Room for Improvement
We recently dined at Comme Chez Maman, and while the experience was enjoyable overall, there were a few hiccups.
Our table wasn’t ready at the reserved time, which meant a half-hour wait. Once seated, the service from our waitress was lovely—friendly and attentive—but it seemed like some of the other staff were having an off day, which affected the overall atmosphere.
As for the food, the main dish was excellent and the highlight of the meal! The starter, couteaux, was just okay—nothing memorable—and the dessert, tarte tatin, while nice, didn’t stand out as anything extraordinary.
The wine selection, however, was a strong point. The wines by the glass were fantastic, though on the pricey side individually. Opting for a wine package might be a better value next time.
All in all, Comme Chez Maman delivered a good meal with some great moments, but there’s room to fine-tune...
