Monteleone — Restaurant in Paris

What a find! My wife and I were walking around the 14th, just looking for somewhere nice to have dinner. We saw Monteleone and it looked good. The owner greeted us and was incredibly friendly and hospitable. He had a great sense of humour and made us feel so comfortable. We ordered the antipasti with some drinks and it was full of fresh flavour! Absolutely delicious. The owner even brought some complimentary Gorgonzola with leek for us to try, and that was outstanding. For mains, my wife had the seafood pasta and I had the duck ragu. The portions were very generous but the flavour.. the flavour was one of the best Italian meals we’ve ever had. Finally, we shared some ice cream and it was a perfect end to a perfect evening. I went to Monteleone for dinner tonight and I’m so glad I did. I was welcomed immediately. The food was amazing. The wine blew my mind. The man who took care of me, named Slah, provided the best service I’ve ever had anywhere in my life. Slah was attentive, personable, and kind. Later I found out he is the owner, which made me adore him even more because it is obvious how much he cares about his restaurant and patrons. I live in the United States, but if I lived in Paris, Monteleone would be my go to place. And I would probably make Slah marry me because he is that wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed...

Cosy place. I was a little bit under the weather at the time of visit and so couldn’t eat much. Still, I very much enjoyed my meal here.
