Disappointing Dining at Les Petits Parisiens: A Culinary Letdown
Visiting a Parisian-inspired restaurant typically conjures images of expertly prepared dishes bursting with flavor. Unfortunately, Les Petits Parisiens failed to deliver on this promise during my recent visit, offering a meal that was underwhelming at best.
The steak, a dish one might expect to be tender and succulent, was shockingly difficult to cut through. Each attempt to slice into it felt like a battle, and the result was a tough, chewy texture. Even when managed, the meat lacked the rich, savory depth expected of a quality cut, leaving little to savor beyond its disappointing consistency.
Equally lackluster was the fish, which arrived devoid of any discernible seasoning or character. Despite its visually appealing presentation, each bite was bland and forgettable, as though the kitchen had overlooked the essence of seasoning entirely. The absence of herbs, citrus, or even basic salt rendered the dish monotonous, transforming what should have been a delicate, flavorful experience into a tedious chore.
While the ambiance and service may hold their own merits, the core of any dining experience lies in the food—and here, Les Petits Parisiens stumbled profoundly. For those seeking a taste of Parisian culinary finesse, this establishment, at least on this occasion, is one to approach with caution or skip altogether. A regrettable meal that left much...
Read moreWe had the opportunity to enjoy an extraordinary dinner experience at this restaurant. From start to finish, we had an attentive waiter that was friendly and respectful, he was also competent and efficient. He was knowledgeable about the extensive wine list they offer and easily recommended us a wine that was to our liking that would also pair well with the food we ordered. The restaurant is in a small and quiet place, so the atmosphere was calm and enjoyable. There was no excessive noise. The food itself was also delightful. Our food was prepared with high quality ingredients and all the dishes we ordered were properly and skillfully flavoured. We enjoyed all the courses fully, the only complaint I would have would probably be the fish not having enough depths in flavours itself. The toppings however made up for most of it. Finally, even though the portions are relatively small for the prices they charge, we were still quite stuffed after having the 3 courses. They also served a pre-appetizer before we ordered which helps portion-wise. To be honest though, they only charge 41 euro for a 3 course meal which is a very reasonable price and an inexpensive place to enjoy a more exquisite experience. One of the biggest downsides is the lack of air conditioning so it felt a bit warm eating in...
Read moreA fantastic dining experience at Les Petits Parisiens! The food was excellent from start to finish. I had the poultry with mushrooms and gnocchi—beautifully prepared with both white and dark cuts, each tender and flavorful. For starters, the ceviche stood out with a perfect balance of spice and rich, fatty fish that delivered a deep umami punch.
What really elevated the evening was the welcoming presence of the owner, who offered a wine pairing we wouldn’t have picked ourselves—but it was absolutely spot on. It’s clear this place is beloved by locals, which speaks volumes about its authenticity and charm. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a true Parisian gem.
This is why we...
