I am not the person, that will judge without searching for solutions, to leave a bad review immediately. But this time i will. legally, i will not tell names of the employees. that is going to stay anonymous.
i had an awful experience with this hotel. they scammed us, while booking. we called to ask if it is possible to stay with 4 adults and 2 children in the family suite, and they told us 3 times it is possible. he said just book the room and write it on the notes that you will stay with 2 children extra. after a long journey to Paris, we arrived in the evening. we told who we were, showed our booking and were waiting to go to our room. but as a shocking result, they told us there was not a option to stay with 6 in family suite. we tried to explain what we did and the phone call we made and the employee that told us that it was possible and we just needed to add it in the note section. the employee at the desk was talking loudly/screaming and rude with us like we didn’t understand English while we were fluent and she wasn’t (not to judge of course just explaining) they told us after a talk like 2 hours that an employee that was new talked to us and he knew nothing about the rules of the hotel so they can not accept it. we didn’t accepted because that was not our problem. if so, they were not supposed to let new employees talk to guests if they didn’t want problems like this. (but again not my problem so i won’t judge) after a long talk and argue (4 hours talk), they told us we needed to pay for an extra room so we can stay, otherwise we can not and the money will be refunded on the way it was booked. We could not accept that because it was late and everywhere was booked (it was summer). They offered us to stay in 2 rooms, only paying for one room. They will put it on our card “legally” but they will not charge for the second room. we accepted that option because we were tired and the 2 children needed to shower and sleep. we needed to change the rooms THREE TIMES due to hygiene, smell and not functioning air conditioning and other devices in the rooms. after the third time, which was the same, we decided to stay in the room and the employee offered us to clean that one. (it was the night shift employee, and the other ones were gone the moment we went to our first room) we were glad to hear that and accepted the offer. the only thing that was changed, were the pillowcases… 🫠 we were so tired, we showered and take a nap. it was a long night due to the temperature of the rooms that were unbelievable.. when we woke up, we decided not to stay the second night in that hotel. we spoke to the employees and asked if the manager can contact us, because we needed to tell the story. not to complain like a karen, but to tell what happened so the next guests won’t experience the same thing. she promised he will call on Monday. He was on a business trip so he was not able to talk right now. We understood so accepted it. after the things that happened, we decided to go back home because we were mentally and physically tired. when we came back home, we waited till Tuesday, because we understood it can be busy as a Manager. We received no calls. in the mean time we received a message that the money for the second room still was charged on our card.. We called back to the hotel, asking directly to the manager. We asked him if he was informed by the staff, and he told us to wait. (so he wasn’t informed) After 5 minutes, he told us he heard what happened. we told what happened and about the charging on the rooms. we asked for a refund for the second room because they promised they won’t charge, also we stayed in a 4 star hotel but it felt like 1 star due to the things that happened. he began immediately to talk angry and loud and told us there was no option like that. he began using excuses as “i just came back from Pakistan and you are not the only thing i needed to do” after like 3 weeks we received the refund on the second room, but never an apologize. This is our story, but not a message...
Read moreRush booking of a nice 4star hotel in Paris. I didn't read the reviews. We always try to stay in different areas in Paris everytime we go so there's something new all the time...and New experience it was! The hotel itself is nice and clean but a bit disorganised. For a 4star hotel, you expect certain amenities but our room lacked water and actual tea cups (but there was tea, coffee and milk and kettle). After asking several times, we gave up and we ended up just being happy to have water and didn't bother because the staff had limited English. We only stayed for 2 nights so we can't be bothered. Our room was clean and the bed were comfortable. Anyway, the hotel (Inside) is quite Hip and I can see how people booked because of the nice photos and the rooftop bar overlooking Sacre Coeur. ||Onto the Location. After scoping the area in the morning, Seeing people selling all kinds of random things on the street just outside the hotel and with Police visibility, We decided to take a cab everyday. It was only EUR13-15 per way. I think for those who want to still book this hotel after reading all the reviews regarding the location. I would suggest to add the cost of Uber or Bolt in your daily costs. The Metro is at least 10minutes walk away (through the rough area) so It's not really worth it. We did it on our last day and it was sunny and we actually asked the hotel on where to pass (even they were kinda surprised that we wanted to go check out the flea market) but they gave the directions anyway. As long as you don't wear anything flashy (OR Walk Alone) I think it should be fine. There's a nice flea market area but you have to walk in the rougher area first. All the cab drivers has a nice way of talking about the area. They all say, it's not a rich neighbourhood. A better way of saying it's a really poor area :) If you watch Emily in Paris, they talked about going to St. Ouen Flea Market to get some second furniture, but obviously it doesn't look like that when you are actually in it and the hotel is in the not good part of that "Flea Market". But I can understand the appeal if you go to Paris to go on a bargain hunt for vintage stuff. Just plan your route and don't do it alone. They can smell and spot all the tourists. When we asked for prices, everything started at 20-30EUR and when locals asks, they start at 5eur :D ||Tip: For bargain hunters for vintage stuff in St. Ouen Flea Market which is walking distance from the hotel, A solid French and looking a bit disheveled will probably get you a better price. ||But if you are in Paris to do sightseeing and explore the area, Avoid this hotel as it's not only out of the way, you have extra expense on cab rides to make you feel more at ease, the hotel itself is actually not cheap. Unfortunately, there's really nothing in the hotel that made us feel special apart from a nice clean bed...which to be honest, you can get in another hotel in a better area. ||I...
Read moreI booked this hotel through EasyJet holidays with my friend in mid July. Very easy to get too from the airport on the metro, it took us about an hour and a half in total. It was really hot when we arrived and check in was 3pm and we got there for 1:30pm and was delighted to find out our room was ready. My friend had some eye drops which needed to be kept refrigerated and the reception team were so helpful with this request, they allowed her to keep her eye drops in their fridge in reception with our room number and booking name stuck onto it so we didn’t have to upgrade rooms. I believe you can upgrade to have a room with a fridge. The hotel itself was beautiful, our room was a nice size for the long weekend we were there and we were delighted to know that we had a rooftop restaurant / bar which you could actually see the Eiffel Tower from!
In terms of the staff, every interaction we had was pleasant, professional and all the staff were really kind. It was cool to see on their names badges the flags of the languages they could speak. All of the people we spoke too, spoke English and very good English at that!
We had one evening meal there, I had a pizza and it was very tasty. Again, the staff were great. Because we said ‘bonjour’ he assumed we were French, which lead us to some banter explaining we are learning but don’t know much - which he then said we could practice with him. Although we didn’t know as much as to practice, the banter was really nice and the ambience was great. The outside rooftop bar was full so we were sat inside but it was still gorgeous. You could see the Eiffel Tower lit up which was gorgeous too see!
I had the best sleep ever for the three nights we stayed there!
We had breakfast included, each morning we had a great selection and the food was delicious! No complaints in terms of the food, the staff were always happy to help and it was always just very pleasant!
The only negative with our hotel is purely the location, this is not the staff or the hotels fault. But there were ‘street sales’ where you were shouted at and pulled in to buy things they were selling for example clothes, products, it almost looked like a Carboot sales without the cars like we have in the UK, and it just made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe, but this was the only downside during our stay. We truthfully didn’t mention this to the hotel, because we assumed they most likely would not be able to do anything.
Overall, we had a really lovely stay and would recommend.
TIPS:
There is a metro station around 11 minutes walk away or there is a tram which is 3 minutes from the hotel which can take you to the closest metro station if needed, you can use your metro tickets on trams as well.
We were an hour and a half from Disneyland Paris, around 45 minutes from the Eiffel Tower, metro system is very easy...
