This restaurant deserves a solid 10 out of 10. Or maybe 11 out of 10 lmao. Me and my mom traveled from Korea, and I always wanted to visit saint-toene cuz Im a vintage lover. We were a bit nervous what if the neighborhood’s dangerous or something, but we loved the whole experience from saint tuene, and needless to say this restaurant was one of the highlight. Such a hidden gem. We had some classical French dishes. They were all super delicious. I totally agree that France is a country of 미식. Just because of this restaurant. We went to some restaurants in the middle of Paris, like some famous and fancy restaurants, but this restaurant’s food quality was def the best. However, one of dishes we ordered was like eggplant something whatever, but I felt that this dish was a bit salty for me. And the bread before eating was just bread. Don’t we dare expect a fancy bread for free. It was just perfect for me. In my opinion, all the bad reviews should get deleted. Lmao. Cuz they must be fake. And I don’t know her name, but the server was super kind and helpful....

I have a feeling that you guys do have a habit of sticking the more expensive items on the menu down your customer’s throat and make them pay for it.
BTW, excellent communication skill by your servers for not saying a word at all. Wish I learned telepathy. Oh well, I won’t come back to this place again for sure.
The service was terrible. I ordered a chocolat cookie frappé (about 4 or 4.5 euros) and they gave me a chocolat mousse by just leaving it on the table without a word because they ran out of it. I ate it because I didn’t pay attention (I admit I wasn’t thinking carefully). At the end they charge me for the chocolat mousse (which costs about 8.5 euros) without telling me why until I asked them. The whole experience was really bad. The chocolat mousse was not very impressive after all.
We also ordered a strawberry sorbet (about 12+ euros)...

I ordered a “croque-morbier” without ham — a simple request — and was told it wasn’t possible. That made it obvious the dish was frozen and reheated. It tasted industrial and awful. My husband’s “soupe à l’oignon” was no better: watery, bland, and honestly the worst thing we’ve eaten in Paris so far.
When I asked for a carafe of water, I was pushed to take sparkling water instead. I requested just half a liter, but was served a full liter of Badoit for €8 — outrageous when French law guarantees free tap water.
What struck me most was the atmosphere. The manager was aggressive and unwelcoming, the opposite of hospitality. On the terrace, I spoke with a Dutch group sitting next to me: they had the good sense to leave without ordering and went to the restaurant across the street instead. I wish I had done the same.
Overall this place is dishonest, overpriced, and deeply...
