Wow I just checked out some of the photos for other people’s reviews and they really lucked out on nice rooms! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile each time we passed the front desk. The hotel itself is centrally located to major landmarks, a walking distance away. Plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby, along with a grocery store and a laundromat. Our room was very small, which I don’t mind so much. There was a stunning view of the streets below. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was the restroom, which is the reason for a 4 star rating. The tub/ shower was high from the floor, very small, and didn’t have a complete shower door so water would get on to the floor below. Getting out of the shower was precarious; I worried each time about slipping and falling. The elevator was cute, although people may have a hard time using it if they are on the heavier side. Overall, it was a good experience staying here. I would recommend it to anyone visiting but perhaps ask them if they have bigger rooms if you don’t want a tiny room and bathroom.

Absolutely recommend this hotel! I didn’t expect much but this place exceeded our expectations. Nice design, always perfectly clean - rooms were cleaned daily. Rooms were compact - normal size for Paris. Staff was welcoming and friendly. The neighborhood was one of our favorite neighborhoods yet! Great places to eat, small boutique stores, groceries nearby as well as metro stops. Don’t hesitate to book! Only one thing that could make this place better is a mini fridge for water which now we didn’t miss that much because it was relatively cold outside but in the summer time I would definitely miss it. Overall LOVED IT

I stayed 5 nights at Welcome Hotel in 3 different, but all very nice, convenient and well-function, rooms. The location was excellent. Even I didn't talk to the staffs much, I can tell that they all eagered to help and were very friendly. The lobby is beautifully decorated and offered appropriately variety of breakfast. I really enjoyed this hotel and my trip in Paris!  If I have a chance to visit Paris again, I will definitely consider staying here!

We visit Paris (and all over the world, every continent but Antarctica every year) often, about 2-3 months per year as I used to live in Paris (as did my mother and my grandmother before I), so have stayed at countless hotels; luxury hotels with our hobby travel Instagram for collaborations, as well as more moderate Hotels prior/subsequent to on our own dime (I.e. we do not expect every hotel to be a four seasons/Belmond/Mandarin Oriental).

We came during the busy holiday season of December for a collaboration with the Four Seasons George V (the Mandarin Oriental and St James over the summer), and visited 3 other hotels in our own, as we arrived one day early (stayed at Villa Saint Germain which was quite charming but shut down to renovate into a 5 star hotel just after we left for the Four Seasons), and planned to only stay 2 days after the four seasons and arrive a day early for our collaboration with the Mandarin Oriental Prague, but as we saw there was a direct flight a day later, we decided to stay one extra day, and the hotel we’d booked was full, so we needed to switch to elsewhere for one night.

We had seen this hotel when it first changed over (it used to be a cafe on the ground floor we’d visit every year (Mondrian)), which became the lobby when this hotel opened, and as the lobby looked cute, we assumed the hotel was renovated.

Unfortunately, we were wrong, though that was not an issue in and of itself. Our room have miniature windows so was quite dark, but also switches were broken and missing covers, the shower had no curtain or wall so sprayed literally all over the floor to create huge puddles, the heater in our room did not work (freezing in Paris; turning it to max heat, manually, not via thermostat, it only ever achieved barely warm to the touch, nevermind actually warming the room), and worst of all, we got absolutely no sleep before our flight as there was a cleaning closet nearby that incessantly was slammed so loudly starting around 5 am (when we go to sleep as we stay on nyc time despite primarily living in london). We literally had to get out of bed to check that it was not our own door being opened and slammed as it was so loud and on top of us (continued until we checked out to catch our flight, leaving at 11:30 am). My eyes were bloodshot from getting zero sleep.

Booking last minute and during the holidays, it was several hundred for the night, which was no more aggressively priced than any others nearby, and there are countless cute hotels in Saint Germain (and most arrondissements) so that there really would be no reason to stay here unless as an absolute last resort. Location was the only plus (but no better than any others we’ve stayed in in the 6th).

My 20 year old son and I spent eight nights at the Hotel Welcome in mid-August 2014 when we were visiting from the U.S. The hotel was well maintained and clean. We reserved a room with two twin beds and found that one of the beds was actually a double; I presume that the layout was designed for a parent-couple and a child. There was a small but very clean and modern bathroom in the room with the only odd thing being that the shower was pretty small and did not have an enclosure on one end due to space limitations. However, there was one of those movable hand-held shower spray attachments and it made it pretty easy to shower without hosing the bathroom. They also had a tiny elevator that went between floors. We were on the 5th floor (room 55) and if we looked out the window we could see the Eiffel Tower. There were about 10-11 rooms per floor. Continental breakfast was available for an additional fee, but each morning we simply walked a block to one of the several bakeries and purchased a selection of rolls and coffee for half the cost. The hotel staff at the front desk were cheerful and friendly. As for location, the Hotel Welcome is pretty hard to beat. We were just a few blocks from Notre Dame, the Musee' Rodin, Place Invalides, the Concierge, etc. it was nice to be just a couple of blocks away from the multitude of sidewalk cafe's in St. Germain without, with their bustling tables, evening strollers, street musicians, sidewalk creperies, etc. without having them right at the entrance to our hotel. So were very close, but a bit more quiet. The Latin Quarter with all of its restaurants, etc. is just a few blocks NE, near the river, and this was also convenient. I would go to the Hotel...

It was my first time in Paris and I wasn't sure where to stay when I came across this little gem. Don't be put out by 2* rating, it's most likely because of its size it cannot move any further. |Location is spot on, in between 2 metro stops (Mabillon, Odeon - btw metro in Paris is one of the easiest I came across, just don't forget to download Bonjour RATP app so you can just tap the phone). The amount of beautiful cafes, restaurants, shops and 7min walk to my favourite spot of Jardin du Luxembourg. It was also a direct metro ride from Gare du Nord, as we came by Eurostar.|The hotel is cute, quaint, super clean and quite beautiful in my opinion. Yes, the rooms are small (and we stayed in Superior double) but I'm not sure why exactly I would need a huge room🤷🏼‍♀️. It accommodated myself, my husband, our bags and clothes as it should.|Rooms are very clean, quiet, bed comfortable, tea/coffee facilities, water, towels and toiletries smell so good. |The breakfast was the biggest surprise. Based on the reviews here I braced myself for NY style breakfast - some pastries, some cereals and off you go.|It may look tiny and limited when you come down, but it had all we needed. 2 types of fresh juice, different teas, proper coffees, different hams, cheese, tomatoes, eggs to boil in prepared hot water unit, fresh rolls, bread, different pastries, beautiful cakes, fruits, nuts, cereals, jams etc. It was fresh, good quality and constantly replenished.|All in all, a great hotel and I would stay in...
