This is a fantastic little boutique hotel in an amazing location. We stayed as a family with our three little kids for three nights and the hotel was perfect for our adventures around Paris. We arrived in the late evening and wandered over to Rue Baci only a block away, which is the most charming little Parisian street at night with lively cafes. If you are interested in seeing the 6th arrondissement (and beyond!), this hotel is the ideal place to stay. The front desk employee the night we checked in was extremely friendly and spoke English (super helpful since we know basically no French). The cleaning service was excellent each day and they also held our luggage for us after check out until the mid-afternoon when we caught a train. Also, the hotel is very close to the M4 and also to a few bus lines so if you want to venture farther out, there is plenty of public transit that can get you to/from the hotel with minimal walking (for us, the buses came in handy).
Since there were five of us, we booked the connected family rooms, which were two adjacent rooms that had a tiny foyer where you could close the hallway/foyer door and lock it so that you had privacy from other guests but could still go between the two rooms. (Humorously, the foyer between our rooms had a motion sensing light in it, which would have been terrible at night checking on the kids, but we just threw a hat over it each night and problem solved) This was a really ideal set up for us and we thought both rooms were pretty big, especially for a boutique hotel. Air con was super strong, a huge plus for us Americans. I also thought the price was particularly reasonable for Paris considering we were paying for two rooms.
Overall, we were very impressed by this hotel and would easily stay here again when visit...
Read moreI honestly have no clue why this hotel has such low ratings. It has been the perfect experience for my husband and I in Paris!
Is it luxurious? Not really. But it is comfortable, clean, easy to access, nice staff, and safe? Hell yea!
Location: The walk from the train station to here was easy, even with our bags on the cobblestone. Also it’s in a more peaceful part with walking/scooter/bike access to anything your heart desires to see in Paris. The best part is it’s close to the metro. I felt safe walking around the hotel area even at night.
The room: I love how dark the room is for sleep. AC works great, but you have to put a key in to run it. Showers were one of the cleanest and best smelling we’ve had during our month long trek, but tiny as one would expect in Paris. You can take the stairs or the elevator. The refrigerator was exactly what we needed for snacks during the day and cold waters. I loved the setup because it made it feel bigger. Each side of the bed has a closet, reading light and cute little nightstand nook with plugs.
Staff: 24 hour desk and they went above and beyond to help us! One night they even gave us bread after all the boulangeries were closed.
If I had any complaints: Netflix/smart tv, more pillows and an extra blanket. Then it would...
Read moreWe stayed for four nights.
Positives: The room was clean, the staff were very friendly, and amenities included coffee/tea and a small refrigerator. The location was excellent.
Negatives: Our room faced the street, and the windows had no sound insulation, making it impossible to block out the noise from outside, including people talking and smoking near nearby restaurants. The bathroom was freezing, and while the hotel provided a heater, its cable was so short we couldn’t use it at all. They placed it in the bathroom but didn’t check if it was functional, and the receptionist couldn’t resolve the issue for two days. Regarding the room size, we were upgraded to a 16 sq. meter room, but we discovered a discrepancy: Expedia lists the classic double room as 16 sq. meters, whereas the hotel website states it is 13 sq. meters. This came to light when we considered switching to a garden-facing room due to the heavy street noise.
Summary: Not recommended if you're sensitive to noise or expect issues to be...
