The room itself was perfectly fine and the bed pretty comfy and the staff were great. The reason I could not give higher stars was the error that all unfolded. On arrival there was a coach load of Asian tourists of which only 1 seemed able to communicate with the staff. Rather than organise the party they engulfed the lobby area with little thought to any other guests trying to check in. The manager was trying to sort everything out for them and seemed to be doing his best only to be told how expensive the price was. Once they finally left I tried to check in only to be told they had no reservation for me. Luckily I had the email confirmation and was able to show this. The manager was very apologetic and I could see he was flustered hot off the back of the large group of tourists. A room was eventually found for me and I was very grateful, I paid and then the manager kindly organised a cab for me to go to the airport to make a collection. Once back at the hotel at gone midnight there was another small group of woman who by all accounts were also unsure whether they would have a room. I went up to the allocated room and began to get myself ready for bed when I heard the key in the door go and someone begin to open it. I was in a state of undress and had to quickly jump up and stop the door from opening fully to which a very confused lady on the other side of the door told me I was in her room. She showed me her key card which did have my room number on but so did mine. She apologised and went off. I tried to call reception about this but could get no answer and didn't wish to venture out in my nightwear. The bed itself was very comfortable however the noise from people sat outside prohibited sleep for some while. In the morning I went down for breakfast. The dining room was very busy which is to be expected and there was a good selection of food for you to choose from. There had been a shift change and a different team were manning the reception and I needed to head back to calais. I can't fault the night manager, he really tried to do his best but it was a rather and...
Read moreI used to be a fan of this chain. I have stayed here before. After asking at checkin counters to speak to a manager regarding my concerns I was given an email. I emailed the hotel first to advise them, but for the second IBIS in my travels no answer. Communication has gone down hill with what used to be a solid choice. Pros. Lobby is large, welcoming, pleasant to sit in. Room size is large, laminate flooring not carpet, standard IBIS pod bathroom (larger than UK showers) Excellent location. Staff in La Terrasse restaurant are great, breakfast at 13 Euro is a good deal, nightly rate was good. Cons they allow dogs, and for three days I listened to them whine. Call to reception didn't help. On a personal visit to reception I was told it was just for one night, not so. Even with earplugs my sleep was disrupted. In the room each night I was bitten by something multiple times. I would finally get to sleep and wake up each morning with fresh bites. I saw them spraying something in the lobby. There are security guards who hover in main lobby. They should be stationed at the doors, particularly to the coffee shop. I was harassed for money by someone who wouldn't take no for an answer until I used my "cop" voice. Security got him after he moved into the lobby. As this is a cancelled flight hotel there are always line ups. There are card access issues, it wasn't just me. Multiple people had the same issue. Room's have been redesigned. At least the old design had a shelf for your suitcase. New design has little round tables as bedside tables no room for anything on them. A strange stool thing with a removable top, I moved it and perched my suitcase on it. High useless shelves. Might look trendy but not functional. Worse service in Pia restaurant ever. My trust in this brand is gone, it was not a pleasant customer...
Read moreI had booked Ibis CDG hotel near Paris CDG airport on 19th April 2025 and paid 160€ for my stay.
I had to catch a flight from CDG Airport at 8 AM and i had booked this stay so that i can get enough rest before my flight. First i did not get the check in at exact promised time i.e. 12pm since the room was not ready. I got the room around 12:30pm.
The air-conditioning is not present in the room and the size of the bathroom is incredibly small as opposite to what they've mentioned on their website.
Around 3AM in the middle of the night, in room, the washroom's ceiling started leaking water heavily.
My room was flooded with water everywhere in few minutes. I had to chase reception for this and they acted like its no big deal. First they asked me to shift to another room in another building outside this hotel.
After 1 hour of requests, they shifted me to another room in the same hotel. When i went to that room and opened the main door with the key, to my surprise the room was already occupied with guests and people inside panicked as soon as i entered their room in the middle of the night. I had to apologize to them several times and again i had to chase staff at reception.
Again after an hour, they provided me with another room and it was close to 6 AM by the time i got the proper room. I could not get enough sleep and on top of it, i had to rush straight away to the airport to catch my flight.
This was horrible and worst experience i ever had for my overnight stay even after paying such an expensive amount.
The property rooms are very old, not maintained at all and have many issues. The staff was also very rude and ignorant the whole time.
Not at all expected from a brand like Ibis. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go with this hotel ever again in my life. I would give zero star rating for...
