I have been singing the praises of CitizenM to everyone I talk to. I had such a great experience and I cannot wait to stay at one of these hotels again. This was my first stay but CitizenM is now my favorite hotel chain, hands down.
I only stayed one night. I needed easy access to CDG for my early-morning international flight. I was happy from the moment I discovered the website! It's very user friendly and easy to find what you're looking for. The app is just as good, plus, if you book your room using the app, you get a free drink. The old fashioned is DELICIOUS!
At check-in, a friendly staff member knew the answers to all of my questions. I arrived 10 minutes before the kitchen was set to close for the night and I was really hungry. I was told to order at the bar. At the bar, the employee who initially helped me was SO NICE! I was soooo hungry and really didn't want pizza, which was the only item being offered because the kitchen was just about to close. But the employee who took my order made a special effort to go back to the kitchen to ask the chef if he could make one more tikka masala. HE SAID YES!!! That literally made my whole day! When the food came out, the chef brought it to me and personally ensured that it was made to my liking. AMAZING. It was such an incredible experience for me to have service and attention like that--at such a late hour at night, and after a LONG day of travel! WOW. Just WOW.
I had such incredible interactions with ALL of the staff members I encountered during my very short stay. The only name I remember was THOMAS, who was the overnight person at the front desk. My room was missing the hairdryer and he was so nice and friendly as he was arranging to get a replacement.
I LOVED everything about my guest room. The white color theme with the pops of red (tissue box, hairdryer bag, chairs) were relaxing and fun. The soft lights in the bathroom could be changed to any color you want using an ipad, which controlled nearly everything in the room as well. In general, the decor in general was modern and fun and the room was really comfortable. I honestly did not want to leave!!!
The next time I need a hotel, I will look to CitizenM first, in hopes that they have a property at whatever location I'm at. I love everything about this chain! It's modern and chic, affordable, and the service is impeccable. I highly recommend the...

We had 2 bookings here, one on Oct 16 (made directly)and the other Oct 17-19 (using Expedia) for 4 night total.
1st we arrived at 1:15 am on Oct 17 after 10 hr drive from Torino, Italy with worst flooding in history causing road flooding and closures and GPS had difficulty issuing safe routes causing the delay.
Room was small and cramped but OK. Problem was bed was placed like in a box with walls on 3 sides. Never in all our years of traveling have I seen this.
Wish I had read the following review as I would not have booked.
"Placement of the bed in the room was not convenient. Since the bed had walls around 3 sides, it was very difficult for the person against the wall to get out of bed. My husband had to climb over me in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom."
Me:
For medical reasons, I'm 85 and my wife is 75 and I have an enlarged prostate and get up frequently at night and my wife has shoulder disk problems. We could not with the bed attached to 3 walls rise over each other. No where on their website did it show this. Was made to pay immediately. Had I seen the room I would not have paid. We were beyond free cancellation and were refused a refund. I appreciate company policy but with the unusual not known bed situation and medical reasons not able to sleep on it, management should override the policy and refund but refused.
To add to our misery we had booked 3 more nights through Expedia and as we just learned about the bed issue, at 1:15 am were an hour and half over free cancellation of the other 3 nights and were charged another night . Expedia worked 2 days to get a refund but they again refused.
I feel it would have been decent and honorable to issue discounts based on the unusual medical reasons for the placement of the bed to only allow getting off 1 side. Place is nice, modern and for young couples bed no issue but I warn older people to consider this before making a reservation. Does Citizen M really need the money for 2 days cancellation fee. I hope that lack of future reservations when people read this cost them more in...
Read moreThe CitizenM hotels—we have only been to this one—dare to show some originality. Compared to the hotels we've actually enjoyed—which are very few indeed—we would rate this one "good". Compared to the AIRPORT hotels we've stayed in, we rate this one "excellent", as it provides clenliness, comfort and friendliness without gouging you quite as mercilessly on price as the others do. This place was very CLEAN. Our room was comfortable, and it had actually been chosen for us ahead of time with our advanced ages in mind. Unfortunately, it was "controlled" by an iPad, but it turned out also to have some switches in it that worked. Check-in and check-out were both friendly and efficient, although you get a receipt only aftrwards, by email—ours has not yet arrived. (Note: this is a "cashless" hotel—cards only.) The staff were all very friendly, but not all equally attentive. The really good staff was alert, attentive, and, indeed, very kind. There is a restaurant with a smallish menu, surprisigly featuring baos, curries, and ramens (and proportionally heavy on vegetarian stuff). They tempt you with cocktails as a signature item. I had an OK Margherita, but it was served in a jelly glass (as was my wife's Negroni) without the traditional salt. Making some allowences, we enjoyed the informal—and warm—atmosphere. The WI-FI, important to us, worked impeccably. This hotel is very well located, very close to Terminal 3 and Roissypôle, but well connected to Terminals 1 and 2 by the CDG-Val shuttle train. It was a great relief to stay here, away from the more usual dirty CDG hotels, with the creaking and crowded elevators, noise, uninteresting food, bloated prices, and customer ratings in the 3s and 4s; they have a captive audience and behave...
