My husband and I spent 10 days in the NH Dusseldorf city hotel. We have travelled a great deal, all over the world and we have to say that we couldn't find fault with this hotel! It is perfect!

From the moment that we landed to the hotel, we were greeted by Anushka at Front Desk who was so incredibly helpful and welcoming. After an early flight, we landed to the hotel very early in the morning and Anushka very kindly allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel while we set off to explore the city. Anushka also gave us some really good recommendations of where to eat and visit in the city, all of which we tried and all of which were superb!

Every staff member that we dealt with was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We dealt with Anushka and Benjamin at Front Desk and two other gentlemen. I'm afraid that I didn't get their names but they were also extremely helpful. The hotel also has a lovely bar and restaurant which serves a lovely selection of food and drinks. (We recommend the caesar salad!). We were served by two gentlemen and a lady at the bar and unfortunately, I didn't get their names either, but they were fantastic too!

The room was without fault. It was spacious, so clean, and it had really good air conditioning (much appreciated in the warm July temperatures!). I'm a really bad sleeper and I can never manage to sleep in hotels but that wasn't an issue in the NH Dusseldorf city hotel. I slept like a baby every night! The beds and mattresses are extremely comfortable and as for the pillows - they are amazing!! I've never slept on anything like them! It was certainly the best hotel bed that I've slept in, in many years of travelling.

The shower was excellent quality, with really good power and lovely shower products. The hotel also has a gym which we used every day. The gym is well stocked with cool, refrigerated water and towels and is located beside a sauna. These areas are kept spotlessly clean. The gym equipment is top quality, TechnoGym. The hotel also operates a system whereby if you forgo the housekeeping service of new towels, they give you a coupon for a beer or soft drink in the bar. We were really delighted to see such a good, environmentally friendly initiative in place.

Last, but by no means least, the hotel is literally beside the underground station. This takes you to Konigsallee/in to the city, within minutes and to the airport in less than 15 minutes.

Overall, we can't recommend the NH Dusseldorf city hotel enough. Keep up the good work! Five stars from us and well done to all the wonderful staff! We had a wonderful stay and we look forward to returning for the...

What happened to me during my stay in Nh Düsseldorf City Hotel yesterday was something NOT ACCEPTABLE AND DISSAPOINTING by all means, on Saturday 9th at 7:00 am I asked reception guy to use the gym but he told me its not possible because I didn't book earlier as the gym only accommodates 1 person at a time because of COVID restrictions, so accordingly I asked him to book for the next day 10th October at 7:00 am.

On the same day (9th October) at 10 pm I entered my room to sleep and I placed all my belongings in the room & to be more specific my wallet and my Rolex watch, woke up the next day as planned at 6:50 am to go to the gym at 7:00 am leaving all my belongings in the room, came back at 7:43 am, getting ready for my business day then I COULDNT FIND THE WATCH!! also note the the room next to mine is the HOUSEKEEPING ROOM!!

Searched everywhere in the room but nothing was found so I ran to the reception to tell the guy about what happened and he simply said "I have nothing to do right now till my colleague comes at 8:30" so I asked him to call the police I went back to the room to get my wallet and passport to realized that the thief who stole my watch took all the money which is around $600 and left my wallet with all the credit cards in place, and yes they are in USD cause I just arrived on the 8th October and didn't have the time to change the USD to EUR.

Police arrived and just took couple of notes and said that they will send the report by email which didn't happen until I went to the station myself to get the report and tried to escalate the issue with the policeman there but they told me "we have nothing to do if you are not accusing a person in specific", I told him that I'm accusing the housekeeping staff and the guy at the reception that knows I'll be out of the room from 7:00 am till 8:00 am ,yet they told me you are talking about 5-10 persons which is impossible to do anything! Now your case is with the criminal court and you have to wait for a week or maybe a year or maybe they will never contact you!!

I'm staying in NH Hotels 4 stars hotel not a 1 star hotel, this is all on you and your management, the safety of your guests and the safety of their belongings is on you! I was stolen by one of your employees and you did nothing!!!

PLEASE EVERYONE SHARE we want this to reach everyone and the NH Hotels management and let everyone know how they deal with their guests and their safety!

Its all on you Giovanni Coco! GM NH Düsseldorf City.

Strengths||||Great location: Just one stop away from Düsseldorf Central Station. The station entrance is only about a one-minute walk from the hotel entrance. There is also a small restaurant next to the entrance where you can enjoy a simple breakfast.||||Convenient surroundings: About a 10-minute walk northeast to Lidl supermarket (note: the area is a bit dark at night). To the southeast, there are also restaurants and supermarkets such as ROSSMANN and EDEKA.||||Membership benefits: As a GHA member, I was allowed to check in early and received a high-speed internet code. The front desk staff were very helpful.||||My Stay Experience||||Day 1||||I was assigned to room 623 (if I remember correctly). The room size was decent and not cramped, but there was a noticeable smell when I first entered.||||Although it was on a higher floor, the so-called “view room” only faced the back with nothing much to see. If you need a twin bed room, I would suggest not booking the “view” type.||||Day 2||||In the evening, the front desk kindly arranged for me to change to room 65x, which had a partial view of the park behind.||||However, housekeeping could be improved:||||The fridge was broken, and by the next day my fruit and yogurt had all gone bad.||||One bed was made but placed crookedly.||||The shower gel had clearly been diluted with water. I informed the front desk that the entire bottle should be replaced, as diluted shower gel can easily breed bacteria. However, housekeeping only added a new bottle without replacing the old one, and when I used it, it was still watery—quite frustrating.||||Day 3||||I asked about the fridge, but the front desk explained that no maintenance staff were available on Saturdays, so it couldn’t be fixed. They only suggested storing items at reception if needed.||||The bathroom fixtures were also problematic: the tissue holder on the wall came loose easily when pulling tissues, and the trash can lid was broken.||||It made me wonder if the previous guest had been especially destructive, but in any case, maintenance definitely needs improvement.||||Overall||||The location and front desk service are commendable, but housekeeping standards and facility maintenance require significant improvement. If you prioritize convenience and membership perks, this hotel can be a good option. However, if you expect higher room quality and well-maintained facilities, you may be disappointed.||||Another point to note: even if you are in Düsseldorf for an exhibition, you are still required...

Night Six of the Journey (April 22, 2025) - Stay at NH Düsseldorf City Room 479 , Germany I went to bed at 11 PM local time, but woke up suddenly at 4 AM on April 23, feeling uneasy and alarmed as I noticed my backpack had been oddly moved. Upon checking my belongings, I discovered that all the cash in the four wallets belonging to two people in the room had been completely stolen (including Euros and Hong Kong dollars). This indicated that a thief had entered our room while we were asleep and skillfully rifled through our belongings, sending waves of terror through my mind. Traveling is supposed to be a time for relaxation and enjoyment, yet at this moment, it turned into a scene of anxiety. Staying at this hotel, it felt like there was absolutely no protection for personal safety and valuables during our sleep. At that moment, I began to feel that beneath Germany's veneer of civilization lies an underlying nature of aggression and plunder. Filled with disappointment and anger, I first reported the incident at the front desk, where the indifferent attitude of the staff only worsened my mood. We chose to proceed to the police station to file a report. At the Düsseldorf police headquarters, we were attended to by Tim Held, a police commissioner, who informed us that the issue was particularly serious at this hotel, classifying it as a "Bes. schw. The purpose of sharing this incident with the public is to raise awareness and remind everyone to take precautions for their safety when choosing hotels during their travels, drawing lessons from this unfortunate experience.
