Stayed with family for three nights and used the restaurant for two nights.
We had two of the more basic rooms on the top floor with a bathroom shared between ours and a third room. Not particularly problematic, a few minor waits for the shower/toilet but there are other toilets in the building if desperate.
Rooms were basic but clean, comfortable and traditional. The kids loved the gasthaus experience and made them really feel like they’d properly come to Germany. There’s a play park in the beer garden which backs onto a nice affluent, low traffic part of the city, which meant my wife and I could enjoy a beer/local white wine and not have to worry about watching the kids too closely.
Breakfast was included, a tad limited/basic in choice but nothing wrong with quality/quantity.
The restaurant was fine, a tad pricey for what you got at times and limited choice, but it was always tasty and service was efficient and quick.
Cannot fault the staff who were brilliant night after night and made us feel...

We arrived early so were able to leave the car and walked into town for a late lunch. We were quite tired by the time we returned to our rooms on the first floor as it is a good 20 minutes into the old town. The meal was reasonably priced and very pleasant with no complaints - empty plates! Breakfast was good, plentiful and varied in the usual German fashion. Our overall feeling was that we enjoyed our stay but felt it was expensive for what it was (Euro 185 for two rooms inc breakfast), even though the...
