Erofili Villas — Hotel in Argostoli Municipality

We would like to offer a fair and correct review to the future guests of this villa based on our experience from August this year. We are active travellers always discovering new islands and spots around the world and we decided to visit the Greek island Kefalonia for the first time and we have chosen this villa because the pics which were so nicely presented on the website.

When we arrived we were very confused and angry when we found out that the pricy villa described as a "private" one is actually a building divided into 2 levels and on the first floor was already another family settled... This was a shock because the most important criteria for us was privacy which was not given to us from the very beginning. We and the guests from the first floor had one common entrance so every time they wanted to go out or come back they have always crossing our pool and we were feeling very disturbed because of all people coming in and out several times a day...

Another criteria is when the guests from the first floor were outside and we were on balcony on the second floor they could watch us and we could watch them so both parties were feeling uncomfortable and preferred to spend time outside of the villa without being watched what are they doing on pool... So it was a pretty strange feeling...

Third criteria, our swimming pool was located on the main road and the walls were very low so every stranger walking on the main road could watch us swimming.... This is a no go, really a no go.. You cannot relax here either when you know every passer-by sees you and your family...

Fourth criteria which never happened in our lives before and it is ridiculous to even mention that but ok, things happen in life.... This house had no barbecue.... like serious????! Unbelievable but when we asked why did you not put on the website the information that there is no barbecue the lady answered but you didn't ask.... What is this for an argumentation! A grill at a villa where people are on vacation in summer is a must have, it is something basic you don't need to ask extra... The ladies were very self assumed and were fighting with us loudly to prove they are right and we are wrong and I needed to wait outside not to make my baby wake up because of the shouting...

And here comes the last biggest critic.... The "friendliness" and the "welcome feeling" of the owners when you arrive to the house with a 3 months old baby... Ladies were very unfair, unfriendly and rude to us..we really don't exagerate... They were not open to any critic from us and not ready to make us feel satisfied once we addressed our concerns... We felt at the very beginning very offended and not welcomed.

Then we saw that after we left they even reviewed us as guests with 1 star ... Come one, really? A young family with newborn baby who addressed open the critic why no barbecue, why not described that the house is divided into 2 parties, why is here no privacy at all?? We left the house clean and had no parties there.. Very dissaponting.... It was for sure the worst house and worst decision to choose this place for our vacation.... We never felt so badly treated like in this place.

You won't regret staying here! We've just returned from a week in a two bedroom villa and were so impressed. There's so much space, every appliance you could need, it's very clean and in good condition, the air con is great, you get towels and toiletries - the list goes on! Having our own pool was fantastic and there were multiple sun loungers and chairs on the balcony areas too. Just a beautiful place to stay. I would recommend a car, wherever you're staying in Kefalonia as it's so hilly, and there's parking on site. There's a supermarket, multiple cafes (don't miss out on 77 Cafe) and restaurants, ice cream shops, and hire cars within minutes walk. We took our car to the beaches, to avoid the walk back up hill. Service was brilliant, messages were answered quickly and friendly - we would definitely stay here again if...

We are staying at Erofili villas for the second time this year. It’s amazing and wonderful, with a little grass area, which is especially great if you have a dog. Just to clarify, the accommodation is listed as villas, which it is, but each villa is split into apartments, and most of the apartments have a pool, but one does not. This is reflected in the price. We have the apartment without a pool but I can’t imagine the apartments with pools could have anything more than we would need.
