They have the best sushi I have ever eaten so I 100% recommend it. Food is of very high quality and reasonably priced. The server was very kind and polite. He also didn't hesitate to explain the dishes we were interested in. He also presented the dishes when delivering them to our table so we knew exactly which sushi was which and what ingredients were used. Also if you plan on visiting make sure to reserve a table atleast 2 days in advace as this restaurant is really popular. Might be of noting that when reserving a table you can only be there for 2 hours which further shows of the popularity of the restaurant. But still 2 hours if more than enough to enjoy a couple sushi plates. We took Red dragon, Losos, Philadelphia, Rainbow and 2 more and the 3 of us were really satisfied with the taste, presentation and price.
Now the only downside is that if you sit outside on the patio there is a AC pipe running over the whole place so if you sit on the inner side of the tables condensation that's collecting on the pipes will drip on you drop by drop. The problem was less noticeable at night when AC wasn't running that hard.
TL:DR High quality sushi. The best one I had yet. I really...
Read moreGreat setting and friendly, attentive staff. The sushi was good, fresh and tasty. When the food arrived it looked great, unfortunately the fish of the day (grouper) was tough, dry and overcooked. The veg and sauce with it were delicious. I told the head waiter why I hadn't eaten the rest of the fish on my plate and he first told me grouper just has that texture which I knew wasn't right then seemed to accept it wasn't right but seemed annoyed I hadn't told him earlier. After the food I had a free mastika but was still charged 28 euros for the fish of the day dish. It's the worst dish I've spent that money on ever and the worst fish dish from two weeks in Greece. It's a shame as it felt like a lovely restaurant and the staff were attentive and polite. This is backed up by the great reviews in general but spending that much on such a poor dish leaves a sour taste. Hard to know if it is best to stick to the sushi here or whether it was...
Read moreI have experienced sushi all over the world from Iceland to Israel to Australia. Admittedly Kefalonia was not on my "best sushi in the world bingo card". It should have been because this was a world-class experience.
Starting with the 2 pieces each tuna, salmon and sea bass nigiri which was simply a complete delight. The tuna was sourced locally on the other side of the island. Beautiful rich colors and the presentation was fantastic.
I wanted to try something that I could recognize as well. The Salmon Philadelphia had all the ingredients of my favorite place back home but this was on a whole different level! Also ordered the Sea Bass Mango roll which was brilliant in its presentation and the taste was truly unique.
The atmosphere is lovely but definitely make sure you have a reservation. Not inexpensive as the total for three nigiri, an eight-piece roll and a specialty eight piece roll cost 43€...
