MoRe by ZOIA Living — Hotel in Athens

Whilst, overall, we enjoyed our stay I have a little feedback that I'd like to share. Firstly it is in a great location, we loved the neighborhood, lovely restaurants and bars and it was around a 15 minute stroll into the centre.

The room was clean and felt like it had recently been renovated, albeit slightly on the small side and not as spacious as the images had us believe, I'm sure they have those rooms however if you're not keen on a tiny bathroom or bedroom area it may be worth mentioning when you book. The small kitchenette was functional and has a fridge, washing machine, microwave etc. The room also came with an ironing board and hairdryer which is a bonus. We received the email with our entry code and contact details in good time as well.

We have a little feedback, having stayed for three days the bins were not emptied at all, considering that one of those bins is in the bathroom and you can't flush toilet paper down the toilet, well, I think you get the idea. On that note, we were only left with two small rolls of paper, let's say that the last evening and morning were about conservation.

Otherwise we would recommend it for a city break or business trip however due to the latter points I wouldn't...

Overall a pleasant stay, room was big and properly equipped. Clean and quiet as well. Shame about not being allowed to flush toilet paper, the warning wasn't shown on pictures and it wasn't mentioned anywhere either.

My biggest complaint would be that there are motion sensors that detect if someone is in the room and they enable/disable power in A/C and all sockets. First night I was surprised why my phone wasn't charged at all in the morning. Second night I realized why, it's because the system was malfunctioning and we had no power at all unless someone was walking around in the kitchen/living area to trigger the sensor. Sleeping in bed or going to the toilet - all power off in 2 minutes. I ended up barely sleeping and had to lie down on the couch and wave my leg at 3 AM to have A/C running in order to cool down hellishly hot room. Since there's no front desk or reception of any kind, I had to wait until the next day, after bringing up the problem on whatsapp they did provide me with a different room where it worked correctly. All these problems could be avoided with a traditional system in which you put a card inside a slot to turn...

The best place to be! Safe and authentic neighborhood (Kolonaki). Great connection to trains and busses. Rooms were really new, very good equipment and comfortable. Extremely friendly staff, however no reception is in the building. All the service is done over WhatsApp and is super fast! Definitely recommend for a reasonable price...
