Play Psyri — Hotel in Athens

The hotel’s location is fantastic — right in the heart of the nightlife with plenty of bars and restaurants. However, it's not ideal for light sleepers, as noise from live bands and chatter continues into the early morning.

Additionally, the front desk isn’t always staffed — we arrived at 7pm and found no one there. Tip for future guests: be sure to message the hotel in advance for the self check-in code. We weren’t informed about this and were locked out after a 16-hour flight. No one answered the phone, and we had to wait three hours while the booking platform tried to reach the hotel. The issue seemed to be a mix-up with the details being sent to the wrong WhatsApp contact. The hotel should consider using multiple communication channels, like email, the booking platform, and WhatsApp, to avoid this.

Stayed at Play Psyri in October of 2023 at the beginning of our Greece trip. Hotel was clean, comfortable, well designed. Staff was very helpful. They provided a code instead of key for all doors which was very convenient. We had a large patio which we really enjoyed: we sat out there and listened to the musicians playing nearby each evening. Kitchenette was part of the room and we used the coffee provided and the fridge. Breakfast was provided by a local cafe (not on site) and was plentiful and delicious. We only utilized this option one morning as we were in a hurry to get going on the other days. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Good hot water and able to drink local water. Shops, bars, restaurants, pharmacy, supermarkets all nearby ( 5 minute walk or less). Short walk to Acropolis, short walk to Metro....

Durante il nostro soggiorno al Play Psyri Athens, io e la mia compagna ci siamo sentiti immediatamente a nostro agio. L’hotel, situato nel cuore pulsante di Atene, offre ambienti puliti, moderni e dotati di tutti i comfort necessari.

Alcune recensioni menzionavano possibili rumori provenienti dalla strada, ma considerando la posizione centrale, circondata da locali, ristoranti e bar, è naturale percepire l’energia e la vivacità della città. Per noi, questo ha aggiunto fascino all’esperienza urbana.
