Hello, I visited Picky Brunch today as it's conveniently located near my hotel. My husband and I were excited to try their various dishes. We arrived and waited in line like everyone else. A blonde woman who seemed to be in charge of seating came over and told us there was a table available, but we politely declined, preferring to wait for a table inside facing the cocktail bar. She left without a word, and the table she offered was in direct sunlight next to the road with cars passing by every minute.
A few minutes later, a table became available outside, and I mentioned to her that we could take it, but if tables inside became available, we'd prefer to move. She gave me a stern look and said that if she took our order, she wouldn't be able to change our table. If we didn't want to stay at the table, we had to let her know, as other people might want it. During this conversation, the table I wanted became available. When I asked if I could move, she told me to wait while the table was being cleaned.
Meanwhile, a couple inside wanted to change tables due to discomfort, and I saw the same woman directing them to the table I wanted, even though their food had just arrived and been served! She took their plates and moved them to the table I wanted, while we were seated at their original table. There was no consistency between what she said and what she did.
It seemed like she had been given a little power and thought she could do as she pleased, according to her mood. Fortunately, you only manage a small place like this; if you managed the country, women would be treated poorly by you. Her behavior put me off, and I didn't enjoy my brunch. I won't be returning, even if the place could have been my...

Food & Coffee We tried the eggs with sesame ring (Greek koulouri) and a Caesar wrap, and both dishes were absolutely amazing—fresh, skillfully prepared, and full of flavor. The sesame ring paired perfectly with the eggs, adding a delightful crunch and subtle nutty taste. The wrap offered a satisfying combination of crisp lettuce, creamy dressing, and tender protein.
The coffee was equally memorable—rich, smooth, and well balanced. Many reviewers praise Picky’s brews as outstanding in Athens’ vibrant café scene
Atmosphere & Service Set in a cozy, vine-covered courtyard, the café exudes a relaxing Mediterranean ambiance. Several sources highlight its tranquil yet lively charm, with attention to aesthetic details such as handcrafted cups and tasteful décor The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit
Summary • Food: Excellent dishes—especially the eggs with sesame ring and Caesar wrap: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. • Coffee: Exceptional specialty coffee, rich and aromatic—some of the best in Athens. • Vibe: Cozy courtyard setting, stylish yet casual, with warm and efficient service. • Overall: Highly recommended for anyone looking for a standout brunch and coffee spot in central Athens.
We absolutely loved our visit—definitely a place to return to when in...
Read moreThe food and our server was great, the blonde host was an absolute rude un professional girl. I was originally a group of five seeing they sit smaller groups of two to three so I told the host we can make it easier and just sit separately and we don’t mind waiting she said there is one couple waiting for two I said no problem Instead of listening to me and acknowledging that I would wait she told me sit sit rudely she dropped off our menu and said Malaka after I said Thankyou for dropping off the menu. I usually never review but nah you’re not gonna act stupid and rude in front of me when I’m trying to make your job easier. I work in hospitality for years. I also sat by the line where she would tell people to wait for a table anytime a person came up to her. She always looks upset. One couple was not gonna wait and they asked how was the food and I said you should wait for it the food is wonderful. They also commented and said yeah I don’t know the host didn’t look like she even wanted us to wait at all. Beware that blonde host may have discouraged potential customers.
Sorry, The Blonde host needs an attitude...
