Food and atmosphere are very good. We had the meatballs and cheese as appetizers, followed by the lamb and pork tomahawk. Very tasty, juice and filling. Portion size is definitely a huge pro here. Appetizer and main can come after one another quite quick. So if you'd want them to space those out let them know when you order! Staff is very attentive and when you call they'll come. They won't come up constantly to ask if you're done, need a refill, but will stop by when they have time to ask if everything is good, tasty and if you need anything at all. Definitely worth a try when in Athens! We went back on our last night, and the waitress remembered us and our preferences. So amazing. Was a lot quieter earlier in the evening this time. We arrived around 1930. All tables did fill up but not untill later. Loved the looks on people's faces when they get their Por Tomahawk order. Such a showstopper.

I was stopped by a host at the podium to see if we wanted a table. I told him in Greek that we were waiting to see where our friends wanted to go. I stepped aside to wait for for my husband. He then turned to a co-worker and said loudly in Greek that he is mad that people tell him they are waiting for someone or they’ll come back and they never do and he’s sick of it. I looked up the restaurant name on Google and three places with the same name came up. I asked him which one was his and he said can’t you see the name on the front. At that point, I just walked away. Our friends called and I told them we’ll meet somewhere else. The restaurant was busy and the reviews were good so we might have gone back another day.

During my three-day exploration of Athens, Lithos Tavern emerged as the standout restaurant, and I couldn't be more impressed. This gem not only stands out for its warm ambiance but also for its exceptional culinary offerings.

Unrivaled Greek Salad: Every restaurant in Athens boasts its version of the Greek Salad, but Lithos Tavern took it to another level. The Greek Salad here was a revelation. Crisp, fresh vegetables paired with the perfect balance of feta cheese and olives made it a delightful experience. It became an instant favorite, and I found myself craving it even after leaving the restaurant.

Irresistible Calamari and Lamb Shank: Lithos Tavern's commitment to culinary excellence extended beyond the Greek Salad. The calamari and lamb shank dishes were absolute highlights of my dining experience. The calamari was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The lamb shank, a personal favorite, was succulent and accompanied by a rich and savory sauce. The portion sizes were generous, leaving me satisfied and content.

Perfect Portion Sizes: One aspect that stood out at Lithos Tavern was the portion sizes. The dishes were not only delicious but also served in ample portions. It was a pleasant surprise to enjoy a meal where quality and quantity seamlessly came together. The value for money was certainly evident.

The overall experience at Lithos Tavern has left a lasting impression on me. The combination of exceptional food, inviting atmosphere, and attentive service has made it a top contender for my return visits. If I find myself in Athens again, Lithos Tavern will undoubtedly be on the...

Everything was top notch. This place deserve more than 4.5 points. We really enjoyed everything we ate and drank. The waiters were really friendly and welcoming. The place was comfortable. We have started with kadayıf cheese pie. The pie was crisp and sweet on the outside, creamy and salty in the inside which was a perfect combination for me. Then we got fried calamari. Calamari was tender not dried. It wasn’t crisp as we expected however it really didn’t matter. Calamari had a sauce. The sauce tasted like cream fresh and went great with the calamari. We got pork chop and lamb shrink for the main courses. Both of them was pretty good. The only dislike on the lamb shrink is it was little bit smaller than expected however very tasty. The lamb shrink comes with roasted potatoes and it has its own unique sauce on the meat and at the bottom of the plate. The sauce is very rich and delicious. The pork chop is very tender and big portion. The pork chop comes with french fries. The fries were crisp on the outside and mush in the inside which was perfect. It also had a sauce on the side. The sauce tasted like a chili mayo and were a great combination with the fries and pork chop. There are 2 toilets in the premises one for male and one for female. The toilets were clean. If I come back to Athens I would definitely come back here. The prices were okay. Definitely...

I had the time of my life on the terrace of this lovely restaurant! The waiter, Nick, has been a formidable help for me. He even poured the wine in when my glass was empty again. He lets his guests feel comfortable and at ease and he won’t rush you. He even gave me a lovely drink of the house afterwards 😊 I started my experience with a little pot of mussels. They were richly flavored with a cream sauce and fresh herbs. And of course I got a free side dish of Greek olive oil with fresh corn bread. The white wine was of a good quality and not that pricy at all. I also had a bottle of sparkling water, so I could alternate a bit and wouldn’t get too drunk too fast. Meanwhile I could enjoy the live music of the neighboring Cuban bar, which made the night out complete and vivid. As a main dish I had a fresh cut salmon with mashed potatoes and a fresh green salad. The dessert was really amazing! You should really try the chocolate oat brownie with vanilla ice cream on top! The flavor was so rich and delicious 😋 To rinse it off I drank a double espresso with a cognac; a perfect combination to complete a perfect night out...
