Mythic Valley — Hotel in Dion - Olympos Municipality

We arrived late at night but called ahead for check-in instructions, which were easy with a door code. The room was very small but clean and well equipped. A few things that were personal preferences but made it so we wouldn’t stay here again, especially for the price - we were on the ground floor, which opened up into the communal courtyard. This meant that if you open a window there is zero privacy. The AC wasn’t working so it was very hot and stuffy - I think they had a setting that didn’t allow it to blow cold but I’m not totally sure. We ended up only staying one night so we didn’t complain. The biggest issue for me was that the walls and ceiling must be paper thin because as soon as the people above started moving around in the early morning it sounded like a herd of elephants and shook the ceiling so hard the light fixtures were rattling. I can’t comment on breakfast because we missed it. There was no information in the room to say what time it was and when we asked around 10:30am if it was still possible to get anything they said no. What a beautiful place!! It is very classic, old world with modern luxury and everything anybody needs for a comfortable stay.

Stella (Στέλλα) takes care of the place in such a matter that I was sure she was the owner, she treat you not like a customer, but like a friend coming to her house. They call it “ guest house “ and I agree , you don’t feel like a customer in the hotel, here in Mythic Valley you feel like you are in someone’s home :-) It’s a clean, super comfortable place to stay.

I know I already mention Stella, but I have to say that she goes above and beyond any other hotel manager I have ever encountered. My family and I have a great time here in Lythohori!! Breakfast included, it is wonderful and plentiful !! For sure, I want to come back and stay here again !! We live in the USA , but I love coming to Greece as often as possible. Wonderfully cozy hotel nearby the heart of Litochoro and a close 10 Mt Olympus visitor center (about 40 min total to the top. The host was so nice and accommodating and had wonderful recommendations for restaurants and trails along Mt. Olympus. The breakfast each day was amazing and delicious! There was a good selection of pastries, fruit, and juices! The room was so nice and cozy. We were in the MELPOMENI room and it was very pleasant. The iron bed did squeak a little bit but unless you're jumping or other activities.... It was fine for sleeping. The room was located on the ground floor so the larger issue for us was the thin ceiling that made every noise from the upstairs guest very noticeable. I don't believe they were louder than normal, but you can clearly hear them walking or running around, and they seemed to do it at all hours of the night; making the stay a little less enjoyable. We would return for another stay for overall it was very lovely; we would just ensure we stay on...
