Truly a great restaurant!! Greece is a country that you could blindly wander into just about any taverna and feel that the food, service and Experience quality are superior to the meals you’ve paid 3 or 4 times more for. This lovely spot at the base of one of the most majestic mountains in the world goes to the next level of “drop your plans for dining out in Paris” through a youthful, elevated and true to the Simplicity of Greek Cusine approach. Check out the menu as well the reviews to understand why. Here’s a couple examples. The freshly fried to order green peppers come with a slight bit of herbs and vinegar that makes em pop. The beef tongue with capers is hearty, bold and sublime. Mushrooms. Perfectly grilled, large plate that’s great for 2 or 3 with local butter lettuce and a simple Greek dressing. Did I mention an amuse-bouche of fresh olive tapenade and butter/pimento cheese with nibbles of corn bread…service by 3 professionals that wasn’t stuffy but super attentive. This crew is on point and loves what they do. Wine- an excellant split of dry white will cost you 6 or 7 euros. The bill. 61$ and I’ve listed a third of the dishes that were part of that. Tip these guys 20$ and feel like you robbed the fine dining bank. Next time I’m hitting up their ridiculous selection of local beef and iberico pork (19$ for a 300gram portion!!❤️). I recently had the pleasure of dining at Olympus Γήτεμα, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, I felt like a valued guest. The staff were attentive and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed. But the real star of the show was the food. We’ve been in Greece, several islands and major cities, for 3 weeks and this was truly the best Greek food we’ve ever had. Literally meat that melts in your mouth. Perfect end to a day trip at Olympus. The food is still digesting in my belly as I write this because I felt that compelled to rave about it. Also, the server we had today was the most hospitable and warm we’ve experienced in all the Balkans.
