Mavra Studios — Hotel in Lefkada Municipality

Upon arrival the staff where very welcoming we thought we had booked a room with cooking facilities but it turned out we hadn’t. This wasn’t a problem as they upgraded us for a small fee. When showed to our rooms the manager helped carry our suitcase up to the second floor which was lovely of him to help. When we had seen our room it was spacious enough for a needs with a double bed, fridge, sink and cooking hobs, small balcony and small bathroom. The room was clean and got cleaned every 2 days by the cleaners who would ask if it was okey to enter your room. All remotes e.g tv and air con where wrapped in cling film I think this was due to Covid so was easier to clean. Every day when we went to leave the hotel staff where freindly and would have a little chat even when we arrived back from a day out. I would advise to have a car as there is not many places you can go in walking distance. The only issue with our stay is that the sun loungers outside the hotel came at a fee even though we where staying there which we didn’t think was acceptable. It was a real pleasure for us to stay at Mavra studios. We thank the manager who so kindly welcomes every guest. A few words about the hotel. Location - top! Opposite the hotel is the beach. You wake up, open the window, and the view is incredible. You cross the street and you are already on the beach. The rooms are spacious. The beds are comfortable. The hotel is very clean and quiet. Every 2 days they put clean sheets and towels. The rooms have air conditioning, a refrigerator, a mini kitchen and a TV. The hotel itself does not offer breakfast, but there is a bar below the hotel with drinks and snacks. Beach - there is no fee for umbrellas and sun loungers. They only ask for a minimum daily consumption of 10 euros. The food they serve is very tasty. There is a wide variety. The water on the beach is clean. The beach has small pebbles. Wear shoes if you have sensitive feet like me. My daughter walked barefoot. The beach is suitable for small children. It is not deep. There are many taverns and places to eat near the hotel. Gerasimos, the owner, was exceptionally pleasant and helpful! I really appreciated this a lot :) He helped me plan my days, recommended places for me to visit, chatted in a friendly way and also helped me to find and book my next accommodation. The studios themselves are set in a lovely, peaceful place with a small but very nice beach lined with trees just across the road. My studio was clean and comfortable and had a balcony at the back of the building which looked out on an area with trees, greenery, flowers - and a very adorable little black and white cat who visited me every morning for breakfast :) It was very peaceful.
