Gea Villas Lefkada — Hotel in Lefkada Municipality

My husband & I stayed one week at the Gea Villas, in the maisonette. I Would like to firstly thank Nikos & Iro for their warm welcome, the bottle of wine went down a treat on our first night relaxing on the balcony, listening to an owl as we watched the moon rise over the distant hills;bliss! Thank you Iro, also, for the wonderful surprise that greated us midweek; your wonderful homemade cake; which we throughly enjoyed!||Nikos was very informative on places to visit & recommendations on local restaurants.||||The Gea Villas were very clean, beds comfortable, the pool area so peaceful and all to ourselves, which was so nice after our days exploring the island. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the balcony & a couple of times we made our evening meal in the well equipped kitchen. For information; the coffee machine was a Tassimo/pods. ||The mosquito blinds on all doors & windows are excellent! Not one mosquito seen in the house, so could sleep with the bedroom balcony door open, a cool breeze, no air con needed & no mossies! ||||||Hire car is a must if you want to see more of the island, we used Kapa rent from the airport: good service & with no problems. ||||We mostly ate out, would recommend locally 'Kanoria taverna', set away from the road at the waters edge, the food & friendly service made us go back several times, the grilled Octopus was the best we've ever had! Greek music quietly playing made it very relaxing.||I would also like to recommend 'Thalassa Grill House' the food was very good & good value. We had a takeaway; ordered the Souvlakia, excellent, the portions very large & only a 5 minute walk down the hill from Gea Villas. ||||Another amazing restaurant we happened upon was the 'Taverna Eftichia' in Lefkada town, amazing local specialities inside the restaurant for you to choose from. A little gem! ||||Overall our stay in Lefkada was made all the better and enjoyable because we were at Gea Villas; away from the main road, good local restaurants, great location for exploring the island and excellent hosts! Everything they say about Gea Villas is true. We spend the first week of our holidays here and found a quiet, nice, clean and beutiful place here.||The appartments were in very good condition and very clean. Inside was everything we needed. A good kitchen; good beds and airconditioning in two rooms; even a washing machine.||The owners live next door and are the most kind and helpful people. You can ask for anything and they will help you.||To explore Lefkada you wil need a car. Ligia is quiet with a few nice but expansive restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets. Wunderschöne Appartmentanlage mit nur 4 Wohneinheiten.|Hier findet man Ruhe zum Erholen.|Die Appartment's sind sehr gut ausgestattet. Sie bieten Waschmaschine, vollausgestattete Küche incl Küchenzubehör. Ausserdem gibt es gratis Putzmittel zum aufwaschen, Geschirrtuch, Plastikschüsseln mit Deckeln die man mit an den Strand nehmen kann. Das Appartment ist ideal zur Selbstversorgung. Es gibt viele Bäcker im Ort, Supermarkt wo man sich griechische Produkte findet. Ein Lidl Supermarkt ist ca 15 Minuten Richtung Lefkada Town entfernt. Nikos und Iro geben einen sehr wertvolle Tipps für einen gelungenen Aufenthalt. Seit neuestem kann man sich auch das Frühstück auf das Zimmer buchen. Wir haben es gleich am Anfang gestestet und es für sehr gut empfunden. Es gibt frisches Brot, Marmelade, griechischen Joghurt mit Honig. Einen Warmanteil, Wurst mit Bacon sowie Eier. Es fehlt an nichts. Die Besitzer bieten auf Wunsch für den Strand- Sonnenschirme zum ausleihen. Das ist sehr hilfsbereit und nicht überall selbstverständlich.||Wir erholten uns für 6 Nächte sehr gut. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns der neugebaute Pool, den wir zeitweise ganz für uns allein geniessen konnten.||Das Wetter im Juli ist bereits sehr heiss und man war froh das ein Pool zur Erfrischung vorhanden war . ||Wir empfehlen Gea Villas uneingeschränkt an alle Interessierten weiter.
