We have recently returned from a most enjoyable two week holiday based at this hotel with Thomas Cook. |The Hotel is in a perfect position, close to all the main features of the town. Everything can be reached in ten minutes walking time, including the bus station and the lake. There are plenty of good tavernas, bars, supermarkets and shops close by.|Our room, a standard double with sea-view, on the first floor, was very nicely appointed. It was cleaned and serviced everyday. The bed was large and very comfortable and together with the very low noise levels at night, we slept very well indeed. The balcony was a major disappointment, being only about two feet wide and was not really a place to sit. Rooms with an inland or pool view seem to have more spacious balconies. The wardrobe space was inadequate for two people with few hangars and hardly any shelves and no doors!. The bathroom was nicely appointed, with an excellent shower and plenty of hot water at all times.|The airconditioning was brilliant and super quiet in operation; we had it set at 24° and were very comfotable|Downstairs, pool area was lovely and very little used, you can also sit out by the pool at breakfast if you prefer.|Breakfast was a big disappointment. The quality of the foods on offer was fine, but there was hardly any variety from day to day and very little hot food. The coffee machine would cease to function at busy times and needed five minutes to restart, it really needs replacing. The breakfast room was badly laid out; too many tables in too little space, resulting in bumping into fellow guests.|A major plus are the staff, particularly the lovely ladies maning the front desk They are so friendly and knowledgable regarding the town and the local area. They will help make your stay trouble free...
Read moreI have been staying at the hotel for the past 6 years, and in the last two years, its standards have shown a slight decline.||The rooms are a good size and are decently furnished. Most guests stay only for a few days so 6 coat hangers would not be an issue but for a 2 week holiday, there isn't a great deal of storage space. The fridge is useful as is the kettle.||Although the bathroom is adequate, the shower tends to overflow onto the bathroom floor like in many Greek hotels. There is a blind to pull down but this meant that it was very difficult to manoeuvre in the shower. There was plenty of storage place for the toiletries. ||Breakfast is the same every day and is basic. Orange juice is post mix from the machine. It often needed topping up with water as it was too strong. There were frequent empty spaces on the breakfast trays which meant either waiting for them to refilled or choosing from a restricted range. In a country of lots of fresh fruit, the only fruit options were tinned peaches or fresh apples.||The hotel is clean but the room cleaning isn't daily as it has been in the past. Small details are overlooked at times. There was only 1 cup for a 2-person room, twice the much-needed bath mat wasn't replaced when the wet one was taken away, several days the bins weren't emptied, one day we had a couple of towels short. All minor but they added up over 14 nights.||The staff are fantastic especially Monique on reception. Reception seemed to be manned less than previously. As I know the area/hotel, it wasn't a problem. ||There seem to have been some cost-cutting measures that have impacted negatively on...
Read moreI rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Naiades Marina Hotel in Agios Nikolaos was truly disappointing. The room condition was outdated and frankly unsanitary. The bathroom was especially disgusting—there was visible rust, and the toilet had stains that looked like fecal streaks. It was genuinely unpleasant to even use the washroom. The faucet was also rusty, adding to the overall sense of neglect. We had chosen the room largely for the outdoor jacuzzi, but it was a complete letdown. It reeked heavily of chlorine and looked so unclean that we never even stepped in. The bed sheets didn’t feel properly cleaned either, and the overall room just lacked the basic cleanliness you’d expect at this price point. The breakfast was another low point. It was extremely limited and honestly quite gross. Just a few cold cuts and what tasted like fake juice from powder—nothing fresh or appetising. Definitely not something worth waking up early for. The only redeeming quality was the view from the balcony, but even that doesn’t justify the cost or the misleading photos online. If you’re hoping for a relaxing stay with a jacuzzi and a nice atmosphere, this is not the place. I would strongly recommend booking somewhere else. Total...
