Vardas Souvlaki Gyros-Pita — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

We came off a day on the boat and were starving so we stopped for yiros. The service was good, atmosphere lovely as you watch the marina and sit comfortably. The yiros arrived...I have eaten yiros all over Crete and Athens in the month we spent here. The pita was packed with potato fries, tomato and sauce amd exactly 6 slithers of pork yiro. I realized immediately and checked the other 2 yiros on the plates that were the same. The yiros tasted great, the little pork it had was soft and very good. But it was so blatantly short, some yiros are better filled than others but they all have a generous helping of meat and a few chips inside. For 4 € it's a complete ripoff. Sorry truth be told. Another tourist trap to make money and then insisted on cash not card. Very disappointing. Go to Uno it's 1 € more but you actually cannot have more than one. Food was awful. The service was hopelessly slow. I ordered a beef, but a young boy brought me a kebab and asked "lamb?". I replied "beef" and showed him the picture of the dish from the menu. The guy said "it's the same". I almost died laughing. The kebab rolls were dry, they were probably reheated five times. The French fries were wet and reminiscent of earthworms. The Greek salad was swimming in vinaigrette and the Greek cheese was tasteless and old. There was obviously a butcher at work in the kitchen, because the tomatoes and cucumbers had been chopped with a meat cleaver, not with a sharp knife. You can't call this place a restaurant. We had visited this place for breakfast and chose the "family" option. After 40 minutes of waiting they brought us our breakfast which did not contain sausages and french fries although they were listed at the description, and when we pointed it out, the waiter denied it so we had to show him his own menu in order to get what we paid for.
