Polydoros — Hotel in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

We made the reservation through Booking.com. As it is write it there we were expecting a parking at our arrival. First lie. They have not parking at all and if you have rented a car be aware of the parking they are saying that belongs to them. It is public and on a gravel slope, full of holes and stones that can easily damage your car. ||Anyway, we decided to stay at Polydoros. We received the keys for a room with no natural light and with not clean bathroom. After been only one hour, we decided to leave Polydoros even though we knew that our reservation was not refundable. ||The next day Polydoros staff decided to say at Booking that we have not show at their hotel. Second lie. Knowing that Booking.com will not send any option to the guest to make a review on the website and they will not need to pay the commission to Booking.com. ||Not a fair business with costumers. Absolutely perfect in every way with an unbeatable location. If you want peace and quiet in a small apartment hotel literally on the water’s edge, look no further! I spent three days in this little slice of paradise, huge spacious room with a sizeable kitchen dining, twin bedroom with plenty of storage space and in room safe and a good sized bathroom. The view of the sea when I left my room took my breath away. Polydoros has its own snack bar for basic breakfasts, snacks, beers and other drinks but if you want something else, you can find excellent restaurants just a few minutes away on foot.

There is a small car park immediately on the right hand side as you go down the short ramp to the hotel.

The staff were excellent and so friendly, it felt like visiting family. It is the perfect location for a stay in Agios Nicholous, right by the sandy beach, and a wonderful terrace straight into the sea. Very close to all the restaurants and bars and shops without feeling like you are in town but in a secluded part of heaven that is Crete! Loved it! The cost is cheap and this comes with intermittent wifi and a happy and basic but also incredibly laid back service. Which for me and my wife was exactly what we like. It was perfect.
