Achinos — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

My husband and I dined here on 16th August. We booked it but it was not necessary since this pretty restaurant gets busy with the Greeks after 22.30. We arrived at 20.30 and had a lovely relaxing experience with a very good service! The waiter was very attentive and good in advising us about choices and combinations of dishes. The music was great too. We had pork shank as main dish for two to share. It was all nicely roasted in the oven with potatoes; a very nice tender and delicious pork meat that I hadn't had for ages anywhere else. I am Italian, so am pretty demanding when it comes to food! Therefore, I would fully recommend this restaurant by the sea (lovely view of the bay). We also had fresh fruit and cake at no charge. Very good food and service overall. Definitely good...

It's one of the very few bars right on the beach! Our local straight across the road, morning swim then in for a coffee with the view...what a way to start the day.

Evenings playing chilled tunes, icey cold beers with the glasses straight out of the freezer. The food was a notch above good, and we enjoyed every plate ordered. Two plates of food and a belly full of beer €40

The staff are great and the locals enjoy the place.

I can't say enough good things about the food here (except maybe the saganaki cheese which was good, but came with a very sweet jam). The cuttlefish in ink was probably the best cuttlefish or squid I've ever had, it was incredibly tender. The octopus salad was tender and balanced.
