kykladonisia studios — Hotel in Municipality of Amorgos

In May we stayed for 4 nights in the “studio with sea view”. As soon as we came ashore in Katapola we fell in love with the place: the friendly and laid back atmosphere and the truly beautiful surroundings. And Kykladonisia was the proverbial icing on the cake! The studio is spacious, comfortable and attractively furnished. The terrace has a lovely seating area, as well as a couple of deck chairs and a hammock, and a beautiful view on the hilly landscape, villages and sea. Also the location is perfect: it is a 10 to 15 minutes walk to Katapola and Xilokeratidi, via a quiet dirt road along olive groves and vineyards. We didn't meet the owners, but communication via email was very friendly, and we were warmly welcomed to the island by Angeliki the kind and hospitable lady who also works at the apartments. She came to pick us up at the port, and also offered to take us back the day of our departure despite the early hour. We visit Greece twice a year and love to discover new places everytime we go. Wow! After 25 years of travelling the Greek islands we finally returned after 15 years to wonderful Amorgós - and having booked this beautiful hillside studio just make us smile wide. My Goodness this place is nice. Our studio is really beautifully designed and perfectly equipped. Nice views of Katapola and the mountains. Peace and quiet. Cicadas sandmen make sure we sleep tight. Svegliarsi la mattina guardando il mare, con solo il suono della natura intorno a te… solo da Giannis! Il nostro monolocale era fantastico! Veranda circondata da bounganville, oleandro e lavanda, letto ampio e comodissimo, biancheria e asciugamani nuovi e profumatissimi, cucinino e bagno piccoli e graziosi, divano grande e confortevole e poi… una vista mozzafiato!! Star seduti in veranda o allungati a letto guardando i colori del mare a poca distanza… ci ha rimesso al mondo!! Giannis e Vicky sono due padroni di casa eccellenti, ci hanno fatto trovare raki per brindare al nostro arrivo, marmellata fatta in casa per fare colazione il giorno dopo, acqua fresca, caffè e biscotti e… una gentilezza e una disponibilità incredibili!! Gli appartamenti si trovano a poca distanza dal porto di Katàpola (che consiglio per comodità e tranquillità) e avevamo già prenotato un’auto ma se non l’avessimo fatto, Giannis ci sarebbe anche venuto a prendere! Abbiamo faticato per riuscire ad andare ad Amorgos e se non fosse stato per la comprensione e il buon cuore di Giannis e Vicky, probabilmente non saremmo nemmeno partiti.
