Bastet Amorgos — Restaurant in Municipality of Amorgos

I’m sorry, but the food was overpriced and not up to our expectations. We ordered sandwiches, scrambled eggs, pancakes, tsoureki French toast and a burger for brunch. The sandwiches and the burger was mostly bread, with not much filling. Scrambled eggs resembled chopped omelette and they were clearly overdone. The pancake dish had a runny creme that was supposed to be bougatsa filling, but the cook has clearly not tried a bougatsa before. The French toast was rather delicious, albeit very sweet.

An other issue was the lack of spots under the shade in the front yard.

It seems that this place is mostly style over substance, in terms of decor and food.

Siamo stati 3 volte in questo locale, la prima prendendo dei caffè freddi, buoni, le seconde volte per fare un aperitivo. La seconda ci siamo presentati verso le 17 e volendo provare dei gin tonic che sembravano invitanti ci è stato che potevano essere preparati solo dopo le 18, quindi un po' perplessi abbiamo ripiegato su dei classici, paloma, margarita ecc... non male. Torniamo per la terza volta, questa ben dopo le 18 e di nuovo niente gin tonic per assenza del barman, quindi di nuovo ripiegati sui soliti classici, questa volta però preparati in maniera dozzinale, margarita ai limite dell'imbevibile. Peccato perché il locale gode di una posizione splendida, da cui si vede il tramonto sulla baia, ma il servizio non rende giustizia, tutto molto arrangiato, quasi ai limiti dello scocciato, calcolando che un cocktail basico costa ben 10€ ci si aspetterebbe qualcosa di più. Food not bad, but slowest service I've ever experienced. The waitress was very busy visiting with friends. Also, one dish comes out at a time, so if you are dining as a couple, one is finished before the other gets their dish. Not a pleasant...
