Erato Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Andros

Do not recommend at all. We (family of 5) stayed unfortunately at the “Thaleia” apartment and we had a terrible experience. Maybe the other rooms are in better condition but we will not return to find this out. Positive:

1. there is parking space right in front
2. spacious rooms
3. location, even though there are many steps if you walk from Batsi. However, this was something we were aware before booking.
4. early check in Negative:
5. the view is obstructed and it’s false advertised in the website for this room.
6. both air conditioning units malfunctioning. The units are very old without power as a result to sweat during night in the summer. 3)window was shaking when wind blows resulting in the A/C to disconnect due to the sensor attached to it.
7. old toilet flush without flow and buckets had to be used
8. no blackout curtains as a result to wake up when sun rises. No privacy at night with lights open.
9. outdated (at least 30 years) kitchen and equipment in bad condition. Some even dirty from previous use.
10. no private balcony. Shared access with neighbouring apartment.
11. GPS had difficulty locating and no road signage exist for the apartments. Almost impossible to find without calling for instructions.
12. staff friendliness. Even though front desk seemed understanding and nice, nothing was done to resolve any of the issues we addressed. (1,2,3,4). The owner Mr. Vlamis was nice at check in and even carried a bag into our room but became offended, aggressive, unprofessional and didn’t want to listen when we addressed point number 1. His reaction was “ take it or leave it”. After that we never...

We stayed mid August in Erato apartments during high season. ||We would like to start with all of the positive features:|-Friendly staf and very friendly cleaning lady. |-The room was very clean and was cleaned everyday. Even our dishes were washed. |-Breakfast is nice and delivered on time. |-Good AC. |-Amazing view on the port of Batsi. ||But, we have few remarks: |-Although the staff was very enthusiastic and approachable, they did not follow up on our requests. |We asked to check the possibilities for a boat trip and a car rental, we were told to he was going to check this out but he never gave an update. For the future: it would be good to keep the guests up to date of the possibilities. |- The fridge in our room made a very loud noise every half an hour for a long period. We asked to get this checked, the problem was not fixed and we never got updated. |- WiFi is very unstable. |- The amenities of the kitchen need to be checked: we only had one knife (we were two people). ||Price quality in high season: too expensive concerning the problems...
