Was so looking forward to the vegetable risotto I’d had on a previous holiday, so as I ordered, I specifically asked the waiter “does this have mushrooms in?” “No” was the firm reply, so I ordered it, and yes, you’ve guessed it, it contained a lot of mushrooms. I hate mushrooms, though I’m not allergic to them. 3 different waiters came out to see what the issue was until finally I was offered another risotto without mushrooms, but this was going to be 15 mins (obviously). The salad was under-dressed, the steak was seasoned incorrectly (tasted as if they simply put a dash of oregano after cooking a steak and didn't bother to salt at any point), the chicken served with the noodles was overcooked, and the capers were the worst & most bitter I've ever tasted. On the other hand, the steak was cooked very well, and the noodles had fantastic flavor.
Based on the food alone, I would rate the restaurant three stars. However, from the moment we sat down, there were half-a-dozen flies pestering us. We asked the waiter if anything could be done and she said she would go the back and figure something out. Nothing was ever done, and we were not told sorry or given any update. Steak and noodles don't go well with flies and...
