The food was really good. The fresh fish was excellent and the salads or appetizers were excellent. A bit pricey compared to other similar seafood restaurants around the area but fair for an Island. The service was really good.
The only two things that don't allow me to give it 5 stars are the following.
On a September weekday around 21.00, when the tourists are limited and the island is kind of empty, the restaurant didn't have many customers. When we asked to be seated in the area on the beach (there is a beautiful small area with a patio) where there were two empty tables, we were told they were reserved. We sat on the "balcony" area which was fine but we found out later that both of the two empty "reserved" tables were still empty until midnight. I guess maybe there was a cancellation but I highly doubt there were two cancellations on the same night. Not a huge issue to be honest, but one of these things you get when you are familiar with the industry. Leaving these empty in case a "better" customer comes or you want to show more people sitting in the front of the street to appear more full than you really are.
The second thing that could improve is the music. It started with some nice Greek "entehno" music (which was really matching the place's vibes) but later at night they started playing newer Greek pop and trap music which was really out of place. All of my criticism is based on how to improve and not that we...
Read moreThe food is excellent but let down by the service from this popular restaurant in Batsi. I was told by staff when I stopped by the restaurant earlier in the day to book a table that I had to phone to book a table or email them. I opted to email them but got no reply so when leaving the nearby beach at 6.45, returned to the restaurant and enquired about my booking for 8.30 to be told only phone bookings were taken. I did get a reservation for 8.30 but for 2 hours only. At 8.30 when we arrived, the table was not ready so waited 10 minutes. The service was initially good and we ordered our food and drink. The greek salad was excellent. Service then went downhill despite so many waiting staff. We had to wait long periods between courses, plates were not cleared from our table and had to ask repeatedly for drinks to be brought to our table. We had a different waiter each time at our table, and they were increasingly apologetic over the service. Our main course was served 20 minutes before we were due to vacate our table which we had for 2 hours. We decided to leave after the 2 hours...

Update – 24.07.2025 (A few days later):
After visiting several other restaurants and tavernas, I can now definitely say that this is the best one on the entire island when it comes to food. The dishes here are simply unmatched in flavor.
For example, Kosses restaurant might be more interesting in terms of atmosphere and offers a completely different vibe, so it's better in that regard—but when it comes to how delicious the food is, nothing beats this place. Staff: Extremely friendly and professional. Atmosphere: A chill spot, perfect for a peaceful dinner. Food: Although this is mainly a fish-focused restaurant, I had the beef patty—and I don’t know what they did to that meat, but it was the best I’ve ever had in my life. The Greek salad was also amazing, and the French fries were great too. Price: Prices are a little higher than at nearby places. If I had to mention one downside, it would be that—but considering the quality of the food, the higher prices are justified and...
