Lilo's Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Astypalaia

This is a wonderful place! If you want a cute, very clean und comfortable room near the beach (less than a minute) vistit Lilo‘s. Lilo, her daughter Konstantina und her husband Petros are so mindful and polite, you will always get an helpful advice ... and a glas of homemade, organic fig-marmelade :) The garden is certainly the greenest place on Astypalia where you can sit together or relax on your own. Lilo is from Germany therefore she and her daughter Konstantina speek fluently greek, german and of course english. Lilo‘s is a home for everybody: singles, couples, families. Everybody gets a smile. Wonderful hosts in beautiful, tranquil garden only 50m from nice beach. we stayed at very end of the season, with Gerani next door there was still a good tavern open, and the steep road up to the Chora takes only 5 minutes with a scooter (15 or so on foot) to have the full choice of places. In high season, the ability to withdraw into a beautiful vegetable garden kept by Petros, Konstantinas dad, and the flowers and pergolas under which to read a book or eat a home-cooked meal, must...

Wir wollten eigentlich die Fähre von Astypalea nach Tilos nehmen und wurden auf dem Weg zum Hafen von Lilo auf der Straße angesprochen, da wir beide uns auf Deutsch unterhalten hatten. Kurzerhand stellte sich heraus das Lilo auch aus Heidelberg kam und wir wurden eingeladen doch beim nächsten Mal vorbeizuschauen. Das Versprechen lösten wir ein paar Stunden später ein - wir waren am falschen Hafen gestanden. Ein Anruf genügte und Konstantina und Lilo richteten uns mitten in der Nacht eine ihrer Wohnungen her.

Die Zimmer waren ein Traum für zwei Reisende die seit mehreren Wochen nur im Zelt übernachtet haben: Geräumig und modern, sauber, gut ausgestattet und gut gelegen (ca 30 Sekunden vom Strand Livadia entfernt). Dazu gibt es einen schönen großen Garten in dem man wunderbar sitzen kann. Das Beste waren aber die schönen Gespräche und die große Gastfreundschaft. Wer auf der Schmetterlingsinsel ein Apartment sucht sollte auf jeden Fall bei Konstantina und ihrer Familie übernachten! Nicht ohne Grund gibt es hier viele Stammgäste... Liebe Grüße aus Heidelberg
