Casa Nostos — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

We were recommended this accommodation by friends who had stayed the year before. So glad we were - it’s easy to be fooled by some places, but this one is even better in the flesh than the images. ||Firstly, location - a couple of minutes from the main strip / road in Agia Marina - but tucked enough away to be peaceful, surrounded by local restaurants and a supermarket it really has it all. There’s parking for the hire car and they even have their own restaurant, so you really don’t have to wonder far for anything. ||Amenities - can’t complain about any of this, smart TV’s in both rooms (we had the duplex apartment), good wifi and an iPad/tablet in the room. The rooms both had walk in shower/bathrooms. There was a jacuzzi bath with sliding windows out over the balcony and great view. The beds are very comfy, plenty of pillows and both floors have their own air con. ||The owners / family are also great hosts - said hi, asked how we were - any issues just ask. But mainly left us alone. Everyone was friendly and the place is just relaxing, large pool, enough sun loungers and is somewhere we intend on coming back to. ||Would suit couples who like to sunbathe all day, families who want to hang by the pool - or a group who just want to relax, hotel style, without the hotel prices. ||On reflection - having moved on to a more expensive hotel, you realise what you get at Casa Nostos - it’s that personal feel, privacy, facilities without the crowds and it’s modern touches. (Forgot to mention the nexpresso machine and pods you get)!||Highly recommend. ||Ps - three minor points if you have kids - there was no stickers on the balcony doors - my youngest ran straight into the closed doors on the first day. No injuries. The pool has some large concrete steps into the pool - can’t be easily seen when people are in the pool and again, the youngest jumped in and caught his leg down the side of one - nothing serious - but both these things could do with looking at. My wife and I spent an unforgettable three-week summer vacation at Casa Nostos in June-July 2024. The hotel is family-owned. We stayed in the hotel's two-story apartment. The hotel was an excellent choice for our needs, and the experience was one of the best. The hotel offered many important amenities. The location of the hotel is in a quiet area but still close to excellent restaurants. Casa Nostos itself has a really good restaurant, but of course, on a long vacation, you want some variety. A good car rental service is just 50 meters away. The hotel is clean and modern in every way. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Everything is well thought out. One important factor for us in our choice was that there are always sunbeds available at the pool area. In this hotel, each guest has their own. The hotel has a convenient web application that allows you to order both breakfast and poolside service. The service worked very well. The breakfast we ordered was delivered every morning beautifully set on the upper terrace. It was wonderful to enjoy it along with the stunning sea view. The best hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel is exactly like the pictures that you see online, if not better. The staff are so approachable and couldn’t do enough for us for our whole stay. The food at the restaurant was amazing and once again, the customer service was excellent. The hotel is located in the perfect spot, just a 30 second walk away from a supermarket and a 2 minute walk away from the main strip where there was so much going on, but it was the perfect distance to not be disturbed by the strip at night. The hotel was unbelievably clean and the pool area was just perfect. We had room service on a few occasions too and once again the staff went above and beyond to ensure that all of our needs were met. We will definitely be booking to stay here again. BEST...
