I am overall happy with choosing Iolida Village, but when I need to choose between 3/5 (average) and 4/5 (very good) I'll choose 3/5. Decent, family friendly hotel without any major flaws, but rather couple annoying things that we get (as customers) used to that should be different. ||Pros: clean rooms, mostly good food (ranging from Ikea restaurant level to really good), clean pools, mostly helpful staff, OK beer and wine from the tap, good AC.||Cons: |- lack of a very shallow pool for kids under 2 (minimal depth was 40-50cm in Sep, 2024), so you'll have to be right next to the baby supporting it all the time.|- sunbeds are very close to each other because of limited space near pools, so you'll sit next to a stranger anyway.|- the drinks included in all-inclusive are low quality - cheap alcohol (bartenders hide the labels or turn bottles around so you don't see what they're pouring...:) ), cheap mixers (lemonades, syrups, etc.). I would suggest that the restaurant should leave "all-inclusive" cocktails out of the menu and stick to beer and wine.|- fake "juices" (I'd call them fruit-inspired sugar beverages, the juice addition is very low)|- the soda dispensers are set in a way that they pour mostly foam - you'll need a few minutes to pour yourself more than 30% of the glass, I guess that is done to discourage you from drinking stuff that's more expensive to the restaurant.|-low quality cold cuts|- in the pictures Tui shown us there was a swing at the playground and an indoor playing room for kids - both were not present when we were there.|||I'd recommend Iolida Village to families with kids 3+ years old. Everyone will find something to do, eat and a sunbed to lay on. I would never call it a four star...
Read moreApologies for the late review...Stayed here last year with my other half and two children for a week all inclusive... We all had the best time ever! Hotel is located in a great place with shops and the beach less than 5 minute walk away. Our room was more like an apartment and was so modern and had everything we needed. The receptionist even put a selection of sandwiches, snacks and drinks in our fridge ready as our flight was delayed on arrival and we didn't arrive till 3am, a lovely touch. We loved the pools and the water slides and you can easily spend the whole day just in and out of the pools etc. The staff are absolutely amazing here, so friendly and helpful. Reception helped with printing off transfer documents and also spoke to Transfer company to help out. The biggest shoutout goes to Harris serving the pool bar drinks, he is one of the most loveliest man I have ever met and he is by far an absolute shining star at the hotel so please thank him from Jay. Food was really great too, we all had a lot to choose from and good quality too. It is very rare that we want to go back to the same hotel in the future as we love trying new places but Iolida Village is an exception as we had such an amazing experience here. The only thing I would say needs improving is the entertainment as there wasn't much on in the evenings, but we still enjoyed kareoke and the Cretan dancers. Please add some more entertainment and this would be perfect! Thanks for making our holiday so good and we will definitely return in...
