Very good old school greek taverna.Nice position on top of quiet street and with panoramic view to other restaurants below on the street. Had Kotsi=pork knuckle slow cooked in the oven with spices full of flavor, not greasy at all, a huge portion that everywhere else in area found it like a portion for 2.Here half the price and same portion for 1! Also their masterpiece Ofto lamb meaning many hours roasted lamb on spit.Portion easily feed 2 but all it's matter is that the taste is delicious.Even the fries are good seasoned with herbs. As for the prices... see the menu... they seem from the times when eating out here was a daily habit not only for tourists. They have also fresh fish not listed on menu and can mention grilled dorada around 10E.Didn't eat and can only believe when i compare with what i paid for my food. This is a taverna from where you'll go satisfied and full if you come to have an greek experience not nowadays international adaptation of food. Important to add that what keeps old greek flavor of a taverna will be not crowded because places with 100 items on menu and only 10% authentic greek take...
Read moreOn arrival greeted by a very happy waitress who spoke very good English. Given options of where we would like to sit and presented with menu’s. We had a mixed grill for 2 people (could feed 3) which was made up of pork chops, chorizo sausage, chicken skewers, lamb koftas, 2 of everything, Pitta and chips with it also. We had the calamari starter, garlic bread, Greek salad and tzatziki. With a bottle of beer, large bottle of water and 2 peach ice tea’s the meal was €60, (£52 according to my banking app). Phenomenal value, the best meal and the best price we’ve paid so far this holiday, we will be returning before our holiday is over that’s for sure. Waitress was lovely, didn’t fuss over us while eating but paid attention so when we wanted something she saw us looking over. She was genuinely so grateful when I said I would leave a review. We are already looking forward...
Read moreAmazing traditional restaurant with a really authentic cooking style. They special dishes are made in a so-called wood oven and it is definitely a must try if you visit.
