We went there as it was recommended to us by our friends. Then we saw the reviews on Google and we decided to go. Unfortunately this place is a typical "wholesaler". You go in, you are asked to wait. Nobody comes to you to take any orders, you are left on your own just waiting. If you see 150+ people eating next to each other and no waiters around, it is the correct impression of this place. After waiting you are taken to your table, if it's outside, you are lucky, you will be able to breathe some fresh air, if it's inside, you won't. Then the waiter is going to take your order just once, if you want to add or change something, just forget about it because nobody is going to attend you. Then you are given your food and if it's souvlaki as it was in our case it is going to be burnt outside and raw inside. The house wine was obviously with water as I don't know any wine type which tastes like water. You can basically imagine that a small kitchen cannot deal with the number of clients this place has that is why the quality of food is very low. Then everybody is basically waiting for you to finish asap and leave because there is a long queue of people waiting to take your place. No "thank you " no "goodbye "...just come pay and go. This place is a money maker and should not be called a restaurant. I'm glad I had visited other places here, otherwise my idea of Greek cuisine and hospitality would...
Read moreSaw this place on our way back to our hotel and thought we'd call in for a drink as it advertised as a bar and restaurant.
We waited patiently and eventually someone came to us. We asked if we can have just a drink and they sat us down in their bar area.
Our first thoughts were that it was stunning picturesque, overlooks the beach in the sunset. Perfect. This was until we sat down.
We were sat down for around 10 minutes until someone looked at us and asked us if we had ordered, no was our answer due to us not been given menus. After waiting another 10 minutes after menus were dropped off we decided to walk out.
We had come here the night prior to this and the experience was similar. Wait, wait, wait. We ordered cocktails, blueberry daiquiri and a strawberry daiquiri. They took again over 10 minutes to arrive. They looked like they'd be worth the wait, but what we got was basically ground up ice and puree with alcohol. It was the sweetest bitterest sourest drink iv ever tasted.
It's safe to say that they don't care about the bar customers. And at the end of the day, a customer is a customer no matter how much money we intend to spend!
And to top it off, they made my partner and I feel very unwelcome as we walked in hand in hand, both females. We thought maybe this could have been why as its not the first instance something similar has happened...
Read moreWent there fairly late and they served us very politely. They recommended a nice meat dish and we also ordered a salad. We were super hungry so I didn't take pictures of everything. We had a table by the beach so we could hear the waves. We sat on some comfy benches, it was very pleasant. The restaurant was quite noisy with lots of people smoking, which we didn't like much. The restrooms were clean and nicely aired. They also have very cute placemats with Crete map and the attractions there.
The meals were not too expensive, around 10-15 for a decent meal. More expensive for others such as seafood.
Update from having lunch there:_ Super tasty seafood salad at reasonable price. The salad was very flavorful with mango complimenting super well the seafood. The vingarette was on the sweet side but it went nicely in the salad. Having gone there during the day, I've realised it has amazing views to the island in front of it. The beach and the restaurant were not busy so I stayed a bit longer after lunch to do some work. It was great as they had a good shade. Staff members didn't mind me being there for another 2-3h and they didn't bother me at all. At some point it was difficult getting their...
