Mira Living Concept — Hotel in Municipality of Chersonissos

Absolutely horrible. And I am still so surprised by this, after reading so many positive reviews. But on the other hand, we also cancelled and that withheld me from writing a review on Booking.com. Which states this is a 4 star hotel. Well. Then I have only stayed in 7 or 8 star hotels and I am a frequent traveller. The reasons why it was horrible:

There was a plane flying over every 5-10 minutes. And the rooms are NOT soundproofing. The door of our room had been forced before and not properly repaired. Wouldn’t feel safe to leave our valuables there. The door would only close if you locked it with the key. There was mold in the room on several places. The mattresses are extreme hard and only one pillow provided. The hotel did not respond to provide more. The pool area had nice looking beds but if you look close most pillows are dirty and gross. Plus there is no wind as it is in the city and way too hot with barely any shadow places. The airconditioning is situated riggt above the bed, so if you didn’t wake up with a sore back due to the mattress, waking up every so and so minutes, you would have waken up by the cold of the airco. Without it is quickly becoming bloody hot even at night, so you do need the airco. We travelled late august so towards the end of the season.

I am pregnant and this means I don’t want to stay in a room with mold, nor a door that has been forced (pregnant or not), and I need my sleep (during day and night). I was lucky to he tired from the long journey that I had slept 4 hours between 8pm and 6:30am, but woah. Never ever again, and I hope this review is keeping someone from having the same experience.

The way they responded regarding our request to cancel, was quite laid back and made me suspect they dealt with this before. Initially they only wanted to refund 50% whilst our original booking hasn’t even began because we booked a night extra. With the help of Booking.com I still had to pay €300 for the first night but no, no, no. Please please please think twice before you book here.

In addition to the above mentioned things: They are friendly until you want to cancel. The lady at the bar had zero empathy for the situation and that we didn’t want to spend 11 nights in this shithole. And of course I was friendly and calm, not making a scene obviously. Even though in my head I could only cry and scream.

There is barely any closet space. So if you are traveling as a couple and staying for more than a few days, this is definitely not enough space. There is one 50cm hanging space and 2 50/60cm layers but yeah - not enough.

I didn’t feel the pictures online really matched the actual status of the room. It was wore down, and very cold ik styling. A few accessories wouldn’t hurt.

I travel a lot and stay in hotel or villas all the time, and this is definitely not worth the four stars. It might be a two star establishment if you ask me. Maybe 3 if you’re lucky and not used to too much luxury.

They ruined the start of our holiday and I lost another day of PTO due to this. Hope this helps to protect some people for booking here.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is perfect, with the beach just a 5-minute walk away and plenty of great dining options nearby. The staff and service were exceptional, making our stay even more enjoyable. There’s also a supermarket just 7 minutes away and a pharmacy conveniently located right next door.

Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced at 9 euros per person, though it’s important to note they only accept cash.

Our only minor concerns were the lack of a wardrobe or dresser in the room and occasional issues with the WiFi connection in our room. Despite this, we had a great experience and would...

We loved our stay at Mira, it felt very special. Atonis and his staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. The room was beautiful, clean, comfy and simple whilst still being very stylish and modern. Communication with housekeeping and staff was brilliant if you needed anything. We couldn’t get enough of the yoghurt and honey with fruit when we were by the poolside 😄. We already miss our time here, and would love to return one day! ||The area was great too - a short walk from lovely restaurants, the beach and a large supermarket. And, it’s only a 20 minute journey (by car or bus)...
