Arkadi Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

We visited Arkadi based on Google recommendations after we were looking for somewhere to eat outside of the hotel we’re staying at.

It was a quiet night, so there weren’t many diners out the front of the restaurant, but don’t let that deter you. We were guided to their gardens out the back that didn’t disappoint - we caught the last of the evening sun and views of the water from where we were sitting.

Food was very good - we kept to Greek specialities, but Pizza from their oven looked inviting too. Family-owned with a welcoming atmosphere. Very reasonably priced (we ate for less than €40 for two, including drinks). We dropped a message through their website, in advance, to secure our table - but they informed us they take bookings through Facebook and Instagram...

We ate here for lunch and evening whilst on our weeks holiday. The service was absolutely fabulous, very friendly and we felt part of the family!!! We were even given garlic bread from the pizza oven as a taster. We were a group of 8 and a baby and we all enjoyed a mixture of delicious starters, I recommend the meze plate to share 😋 . All the food was delicious, and very authentic - the moussaka was out if this world. The seaview is a wonderful place to sit, a nice breeze and at lunchtime we loved it. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. The XL pizzas were enough for 3 and the dad's homemade tatziki secret recipe was amazing and so garlicky. 😋 Extremely reasonable, for 8 people starters, drinks (2 litres of wine!) 6 beers and mains it was just...

Extremely disappointing service. We ordered a gyros pita and souvlaki plate for takeaway. The owner of the restaurant prepared it for us and I asked him for mayonnaise for my fries and he gave me a very small stick of mayonnaise (10g) and charged me 1 euro extra. I told him that the mayonnaise isn’t supposed to cost extra, and that all other restaurants in Kokkini Hani never charge for that. He told me that they have to charge extra because the government taxes them on that little mayonnaise stick, which of course was a complete lie. When a restaurant owner tries to steal off of his clients, then that’s not someone I would give my money to. There are better restaurants in the corner. He might have tried to gain 1 euro, by loosing a customer....
