MYKONAKI — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

We got there with 8 persons, got directly placed at a big table with two big couch and a stunning ocean view. The personal was very polite and had fun at their job The food came very fast and was like I expected, the salad was fresh und the dressings were also delicious. We also got pizzas what where very cheesy and crusty on the outside. The salmon was juicy and came with a beautiful tasty souce(I am 85 Kilo and 188) and the portion was not 100% filling but the pizzas of my kolleges was so big that I could eat this. The penne was also convincing and the cocktail were also very tasty and strong (for my opinion perfect. I could recommend this place for dinner in the evening because of the view and also for dates (perfectly with the sunset if you could time it) Very good experience!! Crete has many, many great places to eat. This one isn't one of them. Of our 12-day journey, this place was the most disappointing. The terrace is appealing, and that's what's pulling in the tourists (i feel silly now ). Food is mediocre, yet prices are disproportionately high. We went for a light lunch with four and paid slightly under 100 euros. Gyros with damp fries, salmon linguine with little taste and little salmon, my wife ordered squid and got only one tiny arm of it. Also remarkable, CO2 is expensive here. still water costs 2 euro per liter. The sparkling variant 7 euros! Long story short: avoid the place and walk a bit to the East where you'll find two restaurants with less impressive interior but with equally stunning views and super friendly people running it. The food and the atmosphere and the service at the restaurant were good! However, the staff serving guests at the beach were rude. The beach area in front of Mykonaki is poorly maintained. The sand is dirty, and many of the umbrellas are in bad condition. On the public side of the beach, right next to Mykonaki, there was a noticeable pile of garbage—including coffee cups, empty cans, paper bags, and plastic items—that has been left for several days. When we asked the staff to address it, they told us it wasn't their responsibility. Even if that’s true, they should coordinate with the relevant authorities to ensure the area is cleaned.
