My best friend and I stayed at Palm Pansion last year in august for four days. It’s been the most incredible and kindest stop during our three weeks backpacking experience through the Greek islands. We‘ve been picked up at the harbour and quickly transported to the hostel itself. Our room was simple, but it was perfect for the two of us. From the balcony you had an amazing view over Ios and it was the best possibility to meet other backpackers, what we did and loved. The hostel is located right next to all the nightlife facilities and it took us only a five minute walk to get to the clubs and as well the incredibly beautiful Greek street, which you always see on instagram :). Katharina (the landlady, I believe) was the most kindest and welcoming host you can imagine and her husband was as caring and loving as she was. This was our favourite stay our entire trip! We felt so at home, and safe here as two young female travellers. The owners had great communication and went above and beyond in providing hospitality. Not only did they offered to pick us up from the port and drop us off for our ferry, at no additional cost. They also brought us fresh baked goods on multiple occasions throughout our stay. Frankie even drove us around the island, providing amazing restaurant recommendations and local short cuts to where we needed to go. Every time we saw the owners they always brought a big smile to our face. The location was fantastic and central to everything in town. Katerina and Frankie made the process seamless for us from the beginning! We were a large group of girls - 12 of us, and they accommodated us despite adding extra beds onto the reservation a couple days beforehand. The price was very reasonable and the location was perfect- close to restaurants, bars, clubs, convenience stores and shops. The service was 10/10! Whenever there was an issue or request, Katerina and Frankie were quick to respond. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.
