HOTEL ELMAN — Hotel in Municipality of Kantanos-Selinon

The new owners of the hotel who took possession only in July 2021 (an inheritance) were so welcoming and filled with the wonderful Greek warmth. Yes the hotel is dated (again they have just inherited it) but it has such charm and was absolutely spotless, a credit to the staff. As the first hotel in Paleochora and there since the late 70's it is iconic and I look forward to returning to see the changes although I do hope that the style is maintained, it really has such enormous potential. The rooms are huge, 2 bed apartments with marble floors and ours had a wrap around balcony. It's also on the beach, you step out the back door and there is the ocean, its location cannot be beaten. Look past what it is, focus on all the positives (staff, location, cleanliness and its history) and you will have a wonderful time. Thank you Lefteris, a lovely young man and his mum who have a huge restoration job ahead of them. I wish you all the luck from Ireland and cannot wait to return....

Perfect location directly at the beach and next to Jetee beach club. It's family owned. You don't have the service like a city 4-5 Star of an international Hotel group but you get a super friendly attention that comes from the heart of an authentic Greek family. The rooms are super spacious and ideal for families with kids. We had an 80 square meters, 3 room apartment with Seaview for 90,-/night. The style of the hotel and rooms is a bit old fashioned, like 70s, 80s but they are very clean and well equipped.||I give it a 5 Star, because it was perfect for us but i can imagine that people who need 5 Star luxury with an international service team and a modern design prefer a different...
