Third Eye Vegetarian Restaurant, Paleochora: A Feast for the Senses and the Soul

If you ever find yourself in the enchanting town of Paleochora, there’s one place that absolutely must be at the top of your culinary hit list: Third Eye Vegetarian. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this hidden gem—it’s a slice of foodie heaven with a side of pure joy, all thanks to the one and only Luke, the host with the most.

We kicked off our love affair with Third Eye by celebrating my partner Matt’s birthday there, and let me tell you, it was love at first bite. The evening began with a parade of deliciousness that had us swooning from the get-go. The mushroom bao was the stuff of dreams—soft, pillowy buns bursting with umami goodness. And that spicy slaw? It added just the right kick to keep our taste buds dancing. But the real stars of the show were the avocado and beetroot tartlets—each bite was a perfect balance of creamy and earthy, wrapped up in a crispy shell of pure delight. As if that wasn’t enough, we indulged in a vibrant dip platter, falafel so crispy you could hear the crunch, and kofta that melted in your mouth. It was a birthday feast fit for a king, and every dish was better than the last. Dreamy? Absolutely. Delicious? You bet your life it was.

Picture this: the last precious slice of Luke’s famous Black Forest Tiramisu, saved just for Matt, served with a twinkle in Luke’s eye and a side of birthday cheer. It was like winning the dessert lottery, and let’s just say Matt was tiramisu-ch appreciated.

But the food love story didn’t end there. Oh no, we were so smitten that we returned for lunch today, ready for round two. And boy, did Luke deliver! This time, he surprised us with a pistachio, chocolate, and caramel slice that was so good, it could make a grown man weep. If there was ever a dessert that could convince you to quit your day job and move to Greece, this was it. We’re talking pista-chio perfection, choco-licious, and caramel dreaminess all rolled into one.

The dishes at Third Eye are like a masterclass in flavor—every bite is a revelation. It’s like your taste buds suddenly discovered their third eye and opened up to a whole new world of culinary bliss. From the freshest ingredients to the most inventive combinations, Luke’s creations are nothing short of a food lover’s nirvana. And let’s not forget the cocktails—each one was a little glass of happiness that paired perfectly with the stunning dishes.

But what truly sets Third Eye apart is Luke himself. He’s not just a chef; he’s a one-man happiness machine, spreading joy one dish at a time. His passion for what he does is infectious, and his ability to make every guest feel like the most important person in the room is a rare gift. Luke’s warmth and genuine care for his customers turn a meal into an experience—one that you’ll be raving about long after you’ve left Paleochora.

So, here’s the deal: If you’re planning a trip to Paleochora, make Third Eye your first stop. Heck, make it your second and third stop too, because once you’ve had a taste, you won’t want to eat anywhere else. Luke has created something truly special here—a place where food and friendship meet, where every meal is a celebration, and where leaving with a full belly and a happy heart is guaranteed.

We’re already scheming ways to bring this incredible experience to New Farm, Brisbane, Australia, because the world needs more Third Eye, and Luke’s culinary genius deserves a global stage. Until then, we’ll just have to keep dreaming of that pista-chio slice of heaven and planning our next trip back to Paleochora. Don’t miss out on this foodie paradise—it’s worth every bite, every laugh, and every...

A veggie family restaurant that has been taken over by the youngest generation, bringing with it a more dynamic and exploratory menu. You will find something to your taste, as the choices range from Greek to Indonesian inspired dishes, in a traditional format of appetisers, starters and mains. They also have a small yet delectable selection of desserts.

The venue is just off the main roads, but being in a small town, this means it is a couple of minutes walk only from the main strip of restaurants. Eating Al fresco is a given, but they do have indoor and garden seating as well. The staff is adorable and speaks perfect English as most venues in town. The only let down is the rudimentary toilets.

Let's get to the food... We ordered sweet potato stacks and the appetiser plate. The sweet potato stacks melted on our tongues, with a delicious cashew puree that created magic with the cherry tomatoes and olives. It was amazing. The appetiser platter had samosas, rolls and wontons all perfectly cooked, with tasty fillings and perfect accompaniment sauces. Our mains met the same standards with arancini balls that outdid easily the best we experienced in London! The laksa, gado gado and artichoke dish were as insanely good. We ended the meal with a surprise treat of raspberry and pistachio semiffredo. Overall, this was an unexpected culinary treat which topped off a great day of holiday! An...

ThirdEye with the lovely setting, located a block from the main beach road, and offering outstanding vegetarian dishes and service was a great find in Paleochoria! I had the mushroom burger. The bun and toppings were very fresh and the burger was seasoned perfectly and offered up this crumchy exterior. It was first rate. My partner enjoyed the salad with greens, cranberries, feta, slice almond, and apple dressing so much she will try to replicate it back at home for us. Of course Greek and Cetan cuisine offers many great vegetarian dishes in general. This was different in a delicious way. If you find yourselves in pelochoria to languish on the beach, this restaurant choice is a perfect complement for an...
