Our Lady of Tinos is the major Marian shrine in Greece. It is located in the town of Tinos on the island of Tinos. The complex is built around a miraculous icon which according to tradition was found after the Virgin appeared to the nun Pelagia and revealed to her the place where the icon was buried.

Wunderschöne Kirche mit reichlichem Inventar. Schon der Ort Paleochora ist den Weg durch die Berge wert, aber allein dieser Kirche wegen hätte er sich schon gelohnt. Ich bin übrigens kein hochgläubiger Mensch, trotzdem musste ich auch hier eine Kerze entzünden, auch um mit dem Kauf den Erhalt dieses Schmuckstückes zu unterstützen. Fazit: Allemal sehenswert!
