Maria Beach Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Kissamos

Stayed here twice in September and loved it both times! First visit was with a 1,5 yrs old and 6 weeks old daughters. The second when they were 3,5 and 2 yrs old. This place is ideal for families. The rooms are spacious and extremely well taken care of as well as neatly cleaned every day. The road is a dead end, absolutely no traffic, kids can wonder around. We brought with ourselves bed wetting pads - no need, they have them. We were worried about kids falling from bed - no need, they have removable wooden fences. They arranged us a taxi with child seats back to the airport. A big supermarket is around the corner as well as a small playground. The beach in front of this hotel is the best of all the bay. Soft sand, no stones (but you can find them in both corners of the bay). Shallow, but not too much, so that you can still take a swim. The water was warmer than in other parts of the island we visited (Chania, Paleochora), 26 degrees in the second part of September. The beach bar is nice, quiet, no big fuss, not loud in the evening. There are some watersports, but really only a few rides a day, nothing annoying. The bar staff, beach boy, cleaning lady are all extremely kind and the family running this place really knows how to run a hospitality business. They are all amazing. If I must chose one thing that is not 5 stars I’d say the restaurant- it is fine, but not the best food we had in Greece. We stayed for 5 days at Maria Beach and what felt wonderful, beside the amazing views over the sea, its sound, the clean beach, the fact that we felt secure with our kids due to the level of the sea and the people around, was the amazing people from Maria Beach. Always smiling in spite of heat, always kind, professional and with amazing energy. They made us feel special and it makes a lot. We ate exceptional food and had wonderful times and this is thanks to these wonderful people.||And thank you for the amazing energy shown by one special Sirtaki champion :) (he makes around 30 km / day offering us the best experiences on the beach), for the kindness and wonderful smiles that were given especially to our smallest family member, Ana, by one of the youngest members of the crue :) and not at least, for the special attention and wisdom given to us by the captain crue of the place. I cannot say enough about how hard the Maria Beach staff works. I'm pretty sure it's run by a family. Everyone was always smiling and happy. Always asking how we were enjoying our holiday thus far... the drinks are fresh and yummy. The food was always delicious and well put together. I wanted to move in, grab an apron, and help serve with the staff. Very accommodating. The location was great. We had about a 35 minute drive from our 2nd location in Old Town Chaina. We spent most of our time on the beach with a one day excursion with SeaZe The Day. Room's are cleaned every other day, with bed sheets changed every 4th day. The rooms have a balcony and a kitchenette. Beds were comfy, water pressure in the showers were great, and again, the STAFF! A thousand thanks yous. You guys really run a well-oiled hotel/restaurant.
