I got the opportunity to stay at Ipanema in Tigaki. Even though it seems far away from the airport or from Kos city, Tikagi is a little village with all facilities and a beautiful beach nearby.... Since I rented a scooter also the more remote places were easy to reach under half an hour. Hotel Ipanema is owned by two lovely sisters Elefteria and Dionesia, who did a wonderful job to provide the guests with all the comfort and hygene they need, including airco and wifi and a balcony with an epic view and thorough dayly cleaning of the room ..... besides, the prices were very affordable during high season.... Although I arrived pretty early (10:00) the owners didn't mind giving me an early check in. Sometimes the internet was slow, but in that case I could take a seat at their lovely bar (with pool table) and if neccessary take my own drinks there.... All in all I really enjoyed staying at Ipanema, and I think that next time I go to greece, I'll go straight to Ipanema... again the Island is breathtaking and as a bonus you can make an amazing daytrip from Kos to Bodrum (Turkey) for only 25 euro's...you'll end up in a bazaar near the harbour where you see plenty of bargains that make the trip more than worthwhile.... All in All, well done Elefteria and Dionesia, hope to see...
Read moreI stayed in ipanema for 2 weeks when I came to Tigaki and when i arrived, there's a beautiful little taverna out front with the hotel in a separate building set back from the road. We were welcomed by the two lovely sisters and their dad with big hugs and lots of smiles. We were shown to our room which was big and had everything we needed. There's a lovely balcony with table and chairs and the rooms were impeccable. So clean and bright. We had two beds pushed together which was perfect for the hot nights. There was lots of hot water and the showers were great! There was a fridge for our drinks and a kettle for tea and coffee in the morning. The taverna makes amazing iced coffees to start the day too!||We were right in the midst of the town but the rooms were quiet.||It's a 2-3 minute walk to the beach and you're surrounded by great restaurants and bars though most evenings we would start or finish the night in the bar at the hotel as it was always nicely buzzy with lots of people watching to do.||The rooms were amazing value and we will DEFINITELY be back next year when we return. ||Tigaki is lovely, lots of beautiful bars and restaurants for all tastes, a great beach and mostly the wonderful people of Tigaki feel...
Read moreThis was our 15th time to Tigaki & we have stayed in various different places across the years. What a fabulous little place this is. It’s central to everything but still not too noisy at night. The rooms are big enough for 2 people & are kept spotlessly clean by the hard working cleaner. The shower has amazing water pressure & there’s never a shortage of hot water. The air con was included in the price & is fantastic. My only criticism would be no airier on the balcony to dry swimwear but we managed fine using the chairs provided. Terrie, Dennie & Pam are amazing & they make this place what it is. I will definitely be staying here again & would recommend to any couples who want to be...
