Oneiro Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Kos

So, we arrived at 3am and there was food in our fridge as it was so late.

Breakfast is served 7am -10am. Full breakfast or traditional Greek breakfast. There is only 1 toaster but wasn't a problem. We used to bring our mugs from our room for a BIG cuppa in the mornings too. Now, getting onto tea time. We where blown away when we were handed a menu to.choose from. We expected a "buffet" style tea as we where half board. But the menu was the same menu as the public choose from, we stayed 10 nights and choose the following, spaghetti bol, Pizza, mixed grill for 2, pork chops, lamb. Gyros, Beef. The menu was HUGE and the best thing... it was all home cooked. the cook who made all the pastas and pizzas made them in a stone oven and was very impressive with his dough making. I'd recommended getting into the restaurant between 630 and 730 as when the public comes in there is a hour wait or so. The hotel is family run and there was nothing was too much of an effort or too much...

If carlsberg did restaurants then this was aldi special brand. Once food arrived it was ok. But the service is terrible. Waited along time for food to arrive (as others in the restaurant) once it arrived the food wasn't prepared for our full party (of 4) and left some waiting while others ate. The wait for the remaining food was around 20 minutes and was only a pizza, but the other members of our party had already finished their meal, no apology or did any waiter come and ask if everything was OK. There are far better restaurants across the road or in the town. Infact this is the first bad experience we've had in tigaki and we've been coming here for...

Service was a little slow even though the place wasn’t busy when we arrived . Food was of good quality . Starters were nice especially the cheesy mushrooms but the stuffed vines presented to us looked poor but tasted ok and my salmon was lovely but the wife’s stuffed pepper and tomato was to be honest a little plain and boring . No sides with it except about 3 bits of potato.Atmosphere was dull and waiters walked around a little uninterested. Waiting for the bill took forever . Price was average for the meal compared to others we have eaten this week . Would I eat here again , YES is the answer but only after I have tried the other 30 places...
