Paron Beach Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Kos

Looks good but doesn’t deliver. Popped into this place last year while driving through for a drink and the service was good, and drinks were spot on. This year was excited to come back with the family have breakfast and spend the day on the beach and have a spot of lunch, was so disappointed we didn’t stay past breakfast. Service was great at first, young lad looked really smart, took our order, didn’t struggle with my thick northern accent so started off great then went downhill, took ages before breakfast came out so was hoping it was worth the wait however three of the four dishes were cold I don’t just mean warm I mean stone cold scrambled eggs I’m not sure how that’s even possible when it’s 31*C in Kos at the minute. When the waiter asked if we enjoyed it I advised it was cold so not really and got met with a puzzled look, no apology just took our plates and was off. Asked for the bill another member of staff came and took the payment without a smile, sorry you didn’t enjoy the food, just took the payment and went couldn’t even look in my direction but then having read some of the responses to the negative reviews on here it looks like the attitude comes from the top down. Not the place for me and I’d definitely not be returning. 1 star for the burger, which was nice (although the fries were the worst we experienced on the island) but can't give any more than that as 2 of our meals - 2 portions of the pork cutlet - weren't edible due to being gristly and fatty. We complained and, even though the cost of the meals were taken off our bill, the poor attitude of the waiter/Maitre D, who was happy enough when trying to get us into the restaurant, was the real reason for the poor review score. Looking at some of the replies to the low scoring reviews on here you can see the attitude. Even after I spoke with him as we were leaving, to point out how rude he had been, he did not apologise. Also I can agree with the comments on another review here, they ask how your meal is and do not hang about for an answer, and they weren't even busy. We weren't the only table complaining, there were at least 2 other tables who had to complain about their meal, and 1 of them was eating there as part of an all-inclusive hotel stay, so watch out for that. I'm expecting a suitably poor attitude reply to this review, but everything I have said in this review is factual.
