I stayed at Emi Seaside for 4 days, during a holiday in Crete with some colleagues.
If you are looking for a vacation spot to do smart working, this is definitely for you: the rooms are quite comfortable, the bar area is very spacious, and the internet connection, in the 2 working days of our stay, has never given the slightest problem, not even from poolside and given the high number of connected devices.
From 9:00 to 10:00 AM it is possible to enjoy the breakfast buffet at a cost of 8€, while for lunch the menu is quite varied and the prices fair. The guy in charge of table service is also super kind and friendly.
Talking about the location, near the hotel there are some markets, restaurants, and pubs, but my advice is to move to Heraklion if you want to enjoy some nightlife (the bus is very convenient and takes you downtown for 1.50€, otherwise a taxi ride costs 15€). The beach is nice, especially if you like walking, but it is somewhat penalized by a factory that stands nearby, whose chimneys are clearly visible from the shore.
The highlight of Emi Seaside, however, is definitely its owner: really friendly and easy-going, and always ready to recommend places to see or restaurants, and to offer to contact the facilities personally. He even arranged a shuttle service to and from the airport for us, without batting an eyelid when we informed him that we would be arriving in Heraklion late at night, a couple of hours behind the scheduled time.
Ultimately, unless you are looking for a luxury hotel, in the heart of the city or facing the most beautiful beach on the island, Emi Seaside is for me strongly...
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay at Emi Sea Side!
The hotel is very comfortable, with spacious rooms that are well air-conditioned. The breakfast is more than enough for a day at the beach – everything you need is there, and it’s constantly replenished.
The pool area is perfect for relaxing after the beach, but the real gem of this hotel is its private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas included. On top of that, the beach service is excellent – you can order anything you like and it will be brought directly to you. The hotel menu is delicious as well – don’t miss out on their pizzas, they are fantastic!
What truly sets Emi Sea Side apart, though, is the warm, family atmosphere. George is absolutely exceptional – he does everything, pays attention to every detail, and is always there to help guests. His kindness and dedication made our stay unforgettable. In our case, he not only gave us great advice on restaurants and excursions, but even helped us in a difficult moment when we had an accident. He guided us on which hospital to go to and even arranged a taxi for us.
I also want to mention George’s parents, who are always present and involved in the hotel. They care deeply about every detail, and George’s mother cooks everything with such passion – the food is truly delicious.
If you have the chance to visit this hotel, don’t hesitate – it’s a beautiful place and we highly...
Read moreThis Hotel is one of a kind!
The owner is the most friendly and proffesional I have ever met on a holidays. First We were welcomed with a soft drink and offered to upgrade our room to the bigger one with a fabulous seaview. The room was very clean with the cleaning service each second day. The hotel have a beautiful private beach with free sunbeds for the guests and second area with the pool next to the bar opened all day long. Everywhere is free and fast WiFi Internet connection, so important nowadays. The breakfast was simple but with everything You need. Best part were the fresh fruits and vegetables which is not so obvious in other hotels. The staff were very professional according to the COVID-19 rules, so We felt very safe during all stay. The area is tourism oriented with many shops, restaurants and bars. A small supermarket but one of the best in the area is next to the hotel. The connection from the Heraklion airport is very convenient and cheap compared to the taxi fares which were around 25-30 euro. From the Airport is just one bus line number 6 (1,5 euro per person, or 2,5 euro when bought ticket from the bus driver), and the bus stop is just next to the hotel.
Overall Our stay was extraordinary and We enjoyed every day of it. For sure We will choose this...
