Frank Burger Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Malevizi

Frank's make the very bold and brave claim to be the BEST burger EVER! And they tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Like it's right up there. Juicy, succulent, flavourful, the perfect size and cooked to perfection (for me, medium). I was walking down the main street in Amoudara and a sign for Frank's caught my eye. My intuition led me down the path off the beaten track to Frank's, because the whole world over any time I've eaten somewhere with Frank in the name I've always been satisfied and again Frank came up with the goodies. The two American ladies and proper lovely and made time to chat. Turns out I was their first Irish customer of the season. Way to make a girl feel special 🤣💚 The young man who served me was super sweet, he have such a beautiful energy about him. I was so impressed with my first visit I made sure to have lunch there on my last day. If you are reading this review and pondering a visit... Just do it, you will be all kinds of glad you got your mouth around the taste explosion of meaty awesomness. I had an overall fantastic experience at Frank's Burger Bar. The burgers were the best I've had in Heraklion—perfectly cooked with a nice crust and great seasoning. However, the "plain" cheeseburger came with a lot of extras (mustard, mayo, tomato, pickles, and onions), which cooled down the meat too quickly. I recommend asking for fewer extras to keep the burger warmer.

The staff was friendly, and even though there were few customers, the burgers were clearly made fresh, which made the short wait worthwhile. The environment was pleasant, but the restaurant could improve its heating, as it was a bit chilly inside, especially with the wind howling through the store.

Despite this, I will definitely be back, as this is by far the best burger joint in Heraklion. I plan to take my daughters there when they visit, and I'll be sure to try the smash burger next time as it seems more suited to my taste and budget. The meat really is the star...

We were two for dinner at this burger bar. I decided for a bacon cheese burger and my partner chose a OMG which was a burger with port lightly seaslned with mild chili. Both were served with fries and this is where the last star disappeared. They were uneatable with the same texture as over boiled spaghetti. However if the burgers were served without the fries but with some fresh tomato or some baked potato boats it would be very close to a full 5 stars. Only a minor thing about the burgers was the temperature. They were not cold but very close. The taste of both burgers was really nice with good balance in the ingrediences- not a specific taste took over but they all completed each other. Well done ! We finished with a great brownie with ice cream and coffee. Service was great even though some of the things on the menu was.... not on the menu....
