We came back here for the second time cos we had a good dinner last night and we stayed 1 minute away. We were SO looking forward to splurge on the lobster pasta but it fell short. Not only was it very overcooked (like rubbery), the pasta was under seasoned as well. The whole thing was underwhelming for €65 to say the least. We brought this up to them after the first bite and waiter said verbatim "You have to take it out from the shell to eat it". (How else would we eat it?) "No one has ever complained about our lobster before"."Have you eat it?" He then took my plate to the kitchen and returned and said "It is how it is cos it's French Lobster" At this point we were disappointed. French Lobster or American lobster..a rubbery lobster is a fail! He offered to change to other dish but husband said it's ok because he doesn't like to waste food. We should've changed cos the more I ate the more depressed I got. 🥲 Waiter returned and reminded us to "Eat with your hand instead of fork and knife" Ermm..does that change the texture of rubbery lobster? I mean, if that's how you cook and eat lobster, I feel sorry for you...and the lobster 🥺 Also, the lobster was puny.

We discovered To Apomero on our very last night in Mykonos, and I can only say: what a finale! This place is the true definition of a hidden treasure – tucked away from the busy crowds, but bursting with soul, flavor, and warmth. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was like a love letter from Greece – fresh, rich, and made with clear passion. The flavors were both traditional and vibrant, from perfectly grilled meats to delicate, mouthwatering meze. You can taste the care in every dish. But what truly made the night unforgettable was the staff. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind – the kind of people who make you feel like you’re not just eating at a restaurant, but being welcomed into someone’s home. They took time to chat, laugh, recommend dishes, and made the whole experience deeply personal. We left not just full, but happy. We only wish we had found it sooner – To Apomero stole our hearts in one night. If you’re in Mykonos and craving an authentic Greek experience, skip the tourist traps and head straight here. Unforgettable. Thank you, To Apomero – we’ll be dreaming of your food and your smiles until we return. 🇬🇷💙

We absolutely love this restaurant! Everything we tried was so delicious. We stayed for 6 nights on Mykonos and from that first night we decided to return every night thereafter. We were truly made to feel like family. Every dish we tried was scrumptious and every drink was yummy. The seating is indoor/outdoor which is typical for the island. The music playing is mellow and helps really set the atmosphere. We tried a few appetizers such as the domaldes (stuffed grape leaves), cheese croquettes, and mushrooms a la crème. We also ordered the moussaka, pastitsio, carbonara, To Apomero salad, and Caesar salad. And the chocolate soufflé was to die for. The service was excellent. Like I said, we felt like family. In fact, it is a family run business. Special thanks to Alex, Hermes, Panos and the whole To Apomero family for making our stay on Mykonos memorable.

We came with the family at 20.50, at 21.00 brought drinks. And only at 21.40 brought us food!!! We ordered beef pasta, lamb pasta, squid and fried octopus. On the question of the waiter at 21.30 where is the food? He said the kitchen did not have time and ran away! Then we brought everything we saw on the platter: pasta with lamb, as if someone had picked and eaten half. I asked the waiter if he saw a difference in the two posts, he agreed and called the other two waiters. They shrugged their shoulders and dispersed. He took it and said we'd replace it. I say: no, delete this porridge from the order. He got up the courage and called me to the kitchen. As it turned out, have them all already long cooked, as in conventional cheap dining room!!! And they put buckets 40 minutes of this nonsense!!! The service is disgusting, we spoiled the mood and the 2 year old child was hungry because the beef pasta was overcooked pasta with a bunch of salted tomato paste! The waiter came up again and said, "you don't have to eat in the restaurant."Shame!

If I could give this restaurant a higher rating, I would. Everything was excellent from the delicious food to the beautiful atmosphere to the great prices and the cherry on top is the fantastic staff who are truly passionate about their job and bring great energy to the restaurant. I highly recommend coming here regardless of where you are staying in the island, it's worth it. We were staying on Ornos beach so it was a quick walk and we loved it so much the first night that we returned our second night. Eating and enjoying the company of the wait staff at this restaurant was the highlight of our short trip to Mykonos.

Everything we had was delicious, I'll list everything we tried: Baked Feta: very very good! Pita + Mykonian piquant cheese (can't remember the name): this cheese is not for the faint of heart, it's like a very strong and acidic blue cheese, I only recommend if you like strong cheese Stuffed Calamari: very fresh, perfectly cooked, very good Lamb Orzo: it's simple and so so good. Pastitso: this is like moussaka meets goulash. The meaty with the pasta and the bechamel is perfection! Mixed grilled plate: all the meat is cooked and spiced perfectly. We thought the lamb or pork would be the shining star but were blown away with how flavourful the "burger" and the Mykonos sausage are. Great dish. Mille Feuille: if you want dessert, don't even ask for a menu just get this. It's pistachio ice cream with layered pastry. There is probably honey and a touch of salt in there too, it's divine. It's light, but packed full of flavor.

All the portion sizes were very generous and you can't beat the prices for such an excellent meal on the island.

Also, if you aren't very particular about your wine, just get the house wine. As someone who doesn't know Greek wine, I think it's excellent. Get it in 500 ml increments, the red was our favorite.

Thank you to the To Apomero staff, you were...

If you're looking to escape the crowded city center and enjoy a meal in a more tranquil setting, this traditional Greek taverna is the perfect spot. Located just outside the main tourist area, it offers a peaceful atmosphere that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the local culture.

The seafood here is exceptional. We opted for the grilled fish platter for two, and it was absolutely delicious. The freshness of the fish was undeniable, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. It’s clear that only the best ingredients are used, making each bite a true delight.

One of the standout aspects of this taverna is the service. The staff are incredibly friendly and courteous, making you feel right at home from the moment you step in. Their genuine hospitality adds a special touch to the dining experience, making it even more memorable.

When it comes to value for money, this place really excels. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food and the generous portion sizes. You really get your money's worth here.

We also sampled a variety of traditional Greek dishes, and each one was fantastic. From the rich, comforting flavors of the moussaka to the tender, flavorful souvlaki, every dish was a hit. It's a great way to experience the authentic tastes of Greece.

Overall, this taverna is a hidden gem that’s definitely worth a visit. Whether you're a local or just visiting Mykonos, you’ll appreciate the excellent food, warm service, and great value. Highly recommended for a true Greek...
